AbstractWe consider ℝn skew-products of a class of hyperbolic dynamical systems. It was proved by Niţică and Pollicott [Transitivity of Euclidean extensions of Anosov diffeomorphisms. Ergod. Th. & Dynam. Sys. 25 (2005), 257–269] that for an Anosov diffeomorphism ϕ of an infranilmanifold Λ there is (subject to avoiding natural obstructions) an open and dense set f:Λ→ℝN for which the skew-product ϕf(x,v)=(ϕ(x),v+f(x)) on Λ×ℝN has a dense orbit. We prove a similar result in the context of an Axiom A hyperbolic flow on an attractor.

We consider toral extensions of hyperbolic dynamical systems. We prove that its quantitative recurrence (also with respect to given observables) and hitting time scale behavior depend on the arithmetical properties of the extension. By this we show that those systems have a polynomial decay of correlations with respect to $C^{r}$ observables, and give estimations for its exponent, which depend on $r$ and on the arithmetical properties of the system. We also show examples of systems of this kind having no shrinking target property, and having a trivial limit distribution of return time statistics.

We study asymptotic physical measures in certain dynamical systems formed by a skew product. The skew product is formed by two ‘nice’ systems via a skewing function which is asymptotically Brownian. In this setting, no analogue of the Sinai–Ruelle–Bowen measure exists.

AbstractWe study the theory of universality for the nonautonomous dynamical systems from topological point of view related to hypercyclicity. The conditions are provided in a way that Birkhoff transitivity theorem can be extended. In the context of generalized linear nonautonomous systems, we show that either one of the topological transitivity or hypercyclicity give sensitive dependence on initial conditions. Meanwhile, some examples are presented for topological transitivity, hypercyclicity and topological conjugacy.

We show that for almost every ergodic $S$-integer dynamical system the radius of convergence of the dynamical zeta function is no larger than $\exp(-\frac{1}{2}h_{\rm top})<1$. In the arithmetic case almost every zeta function is irrational. We conjecture that for almost every ergodic $S$-integer dynamical system the radius of convergence of the zeta function is exactly $\exp(-h_{\rm top})<1$ and the zeta function is irrational. In an important geometric case (the $S$-integer systems corresponding to isometric extensions of the full $p$-shift or, more generally, linear algebraic cellular automata on the full $p$-shift) we show that the conjecture holds with the possible exception of at most two primes $p$.Finally, we explicitly describe the structure of $S$-integer dynamical systems as isometric extensions of (quasi-)hyperbolic dynamical systems.

AbstractKrengel characterized weakly mixing actions (X,T) as those measure-preserving actions having a dense set of partitions of X with infinitely many jointly independent images under iterates of T. Using the tools developed in later papers—one by del Junco, Reinhold and Weiss, another by del Junco and Begun—we prove analogues of these results for weakly mixing random dynamical systems (in other words, relatively weakly mixing systems).

We study Smale skew product endomorphisms (introduced in Mihailescu and Urbański [Skew product Smale endomorphisms over countable shifts of finite type. Ergod. Th. & Dynam. Sys. doi: 10.1017/etds.2019.31. Published online June 2019]) now over countable graph-directed Markov systems, and we prove the exact dimensionality of conditional measures in fibers, and then the global exact dimensionality of the equilibrium measure itself. Our results apply to large classes of systems and have many applications. They apply, for instance, to natural extensions of graph-directed Markov systems. Another application is to skew products over parabolic systems. We also give applications in ergodic number theory, for example to the continued fraction expansion, and the backward fraction expansion. In the end we obtain a general formula for the Hausdorff (and pointwise) dimension of equilibrium measures with respect to the induced maps of natural extensions ${\mathcal{T}}_{\unicode[STIX]{x1D6FD}}$ of $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6FD}$ -maps $T_{\unicode[STIX]{x1D6FD}}$ , for arbitrary $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6FD}>1$ .
