Research techniques appropriate for the acquisition of information related to environmental psychology are considered. For convenience the se methods are somewhat arbitrarily divided into four categories. Some major characteristics of one of these categories, the “closed psychological system”, are described. This technique is then compared with the other three, better known, methods.
