Macro-/mesoporous silica supported Cu–BTC monoliths were in situ synthesized as efficient reusable heterogeneous catalysts for the selective oxidation from alkylbenzenes to ketones with moderate to excellent yields. The catalytic selectivity of such low-cost catalysts due to the sizes and shapes of the substrates.
