We consider a finite controlled Markov chain, the description of which depends on an unknown parameter a, and investigate the following control policy. To each a an optimal stationary control is associated. a is estimated recurrently from the trajectory by the minimum contrast method, and the optimal stationary control corresponding to the estimate is used. We present asymptotic properties of the estimate and of the criterion function. They follow from the law of large numbers and from the central limit theorem for controlled Markov chains derived with the aid of martingales.

Simulation offers a quick, controllable and tunable approach for prototyping complex assembly processes in manufacturing environments. In order to improve the responsiveness of production system, this paper proposes a new approach based on data driven modeling and simulation methodology, it can automatically generate the simulation model of production system and realize rapid modification. The generated model also has high efficiency, readability and reusability. The approach is developed for an automotive assembly line. Through the modeling approach of IDEF1X, a data structure of simulation model was constructed, a model simulator was implemented in Arena by VBA program, and then a simulation model for target production system was built automatically through the attribute values in the data structure. The management and control process of assembly line is divided into different levels by hierarchical modeling approach, modeling element and control logic of simulation are separated. The case study of the automotive assembly line demonstrates the validity of data driven modeling and simulation methodology.

The cost estimation of mold design is a hard issue because of the complexity and variety of the products. We assume that the cost is largely decided by the time for design since labor salaries are increasingly important nowadays. In this paper, we propose a platform to count all the time consumed in all the design details, from which several statistics and analysis reports are made. Based on the data, the managers can acknowledge all the processes details in the design groups. Moreover, bottlenecks in design can be prevised and corresponding measures can be taken in advance. The existing data can also be borrowed for the later quotation for the similar designs. Certain companies have deployed our system and verify that it greatly help the cost estimation and control.
