Variants of Swedish Lean Construction Practices Reported in Research: Systematic Literature Review and Critical Analysis

Maturity models can be seen as support tools for an organization. Their importance is increasing in the scientific community and IT (Information Technology) organizations are starting to implement them. The main objective of maturity models is to evaluate and improve the organization’s practices by creating an improvement roadmap. However, the utilization of the methodologies and methods by this community for the development of this kind of tools is not consensual. Several investigators have created guidelines for the development of maturity models, but the authors are not adopting them; they prefer to adopt their own methodologies. In this research, with the objective of reviewing the methodologies, methods, and guidelines used by the scientific community to develop IT maturity models, a Systematic Literature Review and a Critical analysis were made in order to realize a comparison between IT maturity models and Non-IT maturity models. In total, 109 articles of maturity models’ development were analyzed. A discussion of the articles’ results was realized.

This study seeks to understand the extent to which the Bandung Corruption Court (Bandung Tipikor Court) has accomplished the authority's enforcement. This research's scope includes two crucial aspects: (a) the capacity of resources to sustain the existence of Bandung Tipikor Court, and (b) Supervision and control over Bandung Tipikor Court by various judicial institutions. The method used in this analysis is a systematic literature review. The collected data are secondary data from a compilation of various literary works related to this paper and the results of observations on Bandung's Tipikor Court. The data obtained were then analyzed qualitatively by assessing the findings' accuracy and strength from various studies and comparing the results from those studies. This study's findings show that the Bandung Tipikor Court has not achieved the optimum standard for the enforcement of its authority since the funding for services and oversight and control is not adequate to enable the application of the authority held by the Bandung Tipikor Court.

Lean construction (LC) and building information modeling (BIM) are two of the prominent concepts challenging the traditional practices in construction management. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) often constitute the largest group in construction supply chains. Increasing BIM and LC adoption amongst SMEs is a key condition for achieving the transformation of the construction industry through BIM and LC. The paper presents a systematic literature review of the adoption of (i) LC, (ii) BIM, and (iii) both LC and BIM in SMEs to evaluate the current literature, and 114 papers were included in the review. The bibliographic and content characteristics of the literature were discussed in detail. It was found that despite the importance of SMEs, the current LC and BIM literature falls short in terms of both number of publications and content of publications. The paper concludes with some generic suggestions for future research and action.
