In order to set up a mathematical model suitable for nautical navigational environment risk evaluation and systematically master the navigational environment risk characteristics of the Qiongzhou Strait in a quantitative way, a risk assessment model with approach steps is set up based on the grey fixed weight cluster (GFWC). The evaluation index system is structured scientifically through both literature review and expert investigation. The relative weight of each index is designed to be obtained via fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP); Index membership degree of every grey class is proposed to be achieved by fuzzy statistics (FS) to avoid the difficulty of building whiten weight functions. By using the model, nautical navigational environment risk of the Qiongzhou Strait is determined at a “moderate” level according to the principle of maximum membership degree. The comprehensive risk evaluation of the Qiongzhou Strait nautical navigational environment can provide theoretical reference for implementing targeted risk control measures. It shows that the constructed GFWC risk assessment model as well as the presented steps are workable in case of incomplete information. The proposed strategy can excavate the collected experts’ knowledge mathematically, quantify the weight of each index and risk level, and finally lead to a comprehensive risk evaluation result. Besides, the adoptions of probability and statistic theory, fuzzy theory, aiming at solving the bottlenecks in case of uncertainty, will give the model a better adaptability and executability.

In order to better evaluate the monitoring risk of deep excavation, an assessment model based on fuzzy theory was established by combining the uncertainty and membership degree of evaluation indexes with the fuzziness of experts’ comments. Firstly, considering the risk sources as evaluation indexes, the monitoring risk evaluation system for deep excavation was establish, and the risk evaluation function was constructed. Secondly, the risk assessment model based on fuzzy theory was put forward, analytic hierarchy process was used to determine the weight of evaluation indexes, and expert evaluation weight was introduced to correct the evaluation function. Finally, comprehensive risk grade in deep excavation was obtained and the risk decisions were put forward by calculating the value of modified evaluation function. Through the application of the monitoring risk assessment model in the deep excavation of World Trade Group, the results are in accordance with the engineering practice. The results suggest that the model based on fuzzy theory is efficient for evaluating the monitoring risks and can be used in the application of deep excavation evaluation. Meanwhile, the applicability and accuracy of the assessment model are verified.

The evaluation for supply chain risk is very important to show the latent risk and eliminate the risk. In the study, Bayesian network is proposed to evaluate the supply chain risk. The assessment indexes of supply chain risk are analyzed before supply chain risk assessment. Then, the assessment indexes of supply chain risk can be used to construct the supply chain risk assessment model. We apply a certain logistics company to study the evaluation ability of Bayesian network evaluation model proposed here. The experimental results prove the effectiveness of the proposed model.

Abstract Casing corrosion during CO2 injection or storage results in significant economic loss and increased production risks. Therefore, in this paper, a corroded casing risk assessment model based on analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is established to identify potential risks in time. First, the corrosion rate and residual strength characteristics are analyzed through corrosion tests and numerical simulations, respectively, to determine the risk factors that may lead to an accident. Then, an index system for corroded casing risk evaluation is established based on six important factors: temperature, CO2 partial pressure, flow velocity, corrosion radius, corrosion depth and wellhead pressure. Subsequently, the index weights are calculated via the analytic hierarchy process. Finally, the risk level of corroded casing is obtained via the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. The corroded casing risk assessment model has been verified by a case well, which shows that the model is valuable and feasible. It provides an effective decision-making method for the risk evaluation of corroded casing in CO2 injection well, which is conductive to improve the wellbore operation efficiency.

Abstract This paper deals with the basic concepts of Signature Analysis and the application of statistical models for its implementation. It develops a scheme for computing sample sizes when the failures are random. It also introduces statistical models that comprehend correlations among failures that fail due to the same failure mechanism. The idea of correlation is important because semiconductor chips are processed in batches. Also any risk assessment model should comprehend correlations over time. The statistical models developed will provide the required sample sizes for the Failure Analysis lab to state "We are A% confident that B% of future parts will fail due to the same signature." The paper provides tables and graphs for the evaluation of such a risk assessment. The implementation of Signature Analysis will achieve the dual objective of improved customer satisfaction and reduced cycle time. This paper will also highlight it's applicability as well as the essential elements that need to be in place for it to be effective. Different examples have been illustrated of how the concept is being used by Failure Analysis Operations (FA) and Customer Quality and Reliability Engineering groups.
