Handover, as a resource consuming process, is an important issue in mobile communications which can highly affect the overall performance of the LTE networks. Since the handover process mainly relies on four main entry condition parameters, optimizing these parameters will in turn improve the handover process. In this work, we investigate the effectiveness of the four handover parameters by measuring the resulting downlink throughput and number of the required handovers. We furthermore determine the optimized values of the parameters through implementing different sets of experiments. Finally, by applying the obtained optimized parameters on two main LTE handover algorithms i.e. A3RSRP and A2A4RSRQ, their performance is compared regarding to different speeds of the mobile equipment. We determine how to accurately select the optimal settings for the parameters so that greater LTE performance can be achieved.

This paper deals with the development of the flow in a curved tube near the inlet. The solution is obtained by the method of matched asymptotic expansions. Two inlet conditions are considered: (i) the condition of constant dynamic pressure at the entrance, which may be of practical interest in applications to blood flow in the aorta; and (ii) a uniform entry condition. It is shown that the geometry and the nature of the entry condition appreciably influence the initial development of the flow. The effect of the secondary flow due to the curvature on the wall shear is discussed and it is shown that the cross-over between shear maxima on the inside and the outside of the tube occurs at a downstream distance which is 1·9 times the radius of the tube for entry condition (i) while in the case of entry condition (ii) it is 0·95 times the radius, which is half the distance required in case (i). It is found that the pressure distribution is not significantly influenced by the secondary flow during the initial development of the motion. The analysis, which is developed for steady motion, can be extended to pulsatile flows, which are of greater physiological interest.

With the growing demand of palm biodiesel worldwide, the government has recently announced the implementation of palm biodiesel programme effective July 2014. The implementation will boost the palm biodiesel industry and heighten the demand for palm biodiesel in the domestic market as well as in the international market. This paper thus examines the relationship between the use of strategic investment in excess capacity and the industry entry condition, using logit model. This study covered study period from year 2006 to 2013. The results from this study will further help policymakers to develop policy that is parallel with the condition of the industry.
