Four maize (Zea mays L.) hybrids planted at varying plant densities were evaluated for their yield, maturity, and quality across environments in north central Alberta. Given the balance of yield and quality, very early maturing hybrids [2000 corn heat units (CHU)] planted at ~100 000 plants ha-1 are recommended for north central Alberta.
