Internet of Things is a rising innovation that makes our world more astute. In recent years, there has been immense development in the realm of insightful gadgets for home mechanization. Such contraptions are planned so as to facilitate communication among individuals and everyday home obligations. This paper exhibits a voice-controlled smart home with multi-functions using ESP32 as the wireless choice. Voice control (using human voice to control any load like light, fan, ac, geyser, motor etc.). The voice-commands are recognized by a dedicated hardware module and the recognized data is sent to database using ESP32. On the accepting unit, raspberry pi peruses the information from the database and deciphers the directions verbally expressed by the client and controls the family unit apparatuses.

Recently, the adoption of smart home technology has been on the rise and becoming a trend for home residents. The development of Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology drives the smart home authentication system with biometric systems such as facial recognition, fingerprint, and voice control techniques. In the context of homeowners, security is always the primary concern. However, conventional home security and the existing smart home security system have some limitations. These techniques use single-factor authentication, which provides limited protection for home security. Therefore, this project proposed a design for smart home multi-factor authentication using facial recognition and a one-time password sent to smartphones for a home security system. Rapid application development was the methodology for conducting this study. A usability evaluation suggested that the proposed smart home multi-factor authentication is acceptable, but some usability issues can be improved in the future.

Keyword spotting (KWS) is one of the important systems on speech applications, such as data mining, call routing, call center, customer-controlled smartphone, smart home systems with voice control, etc. With the goals of researching some factors affecting the Vietnamese Keyword spotting system, we study the combination architecture of CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks)-RNN (Recurrent Neural Networks) on both clean and noise environments with 2 distance speaker cases: 1m and 2m. The obtained results show that the noise trained models are better performance than clean trained models in any (clean or noise) testing environment. The results in this far-field experiment suggest to us how to choose the suitable distance of the recording microphones to the speaker so that there is no redundancy of data with the contexts considered to be the same.

This paper has designed a smart-home environment monitoring system. The System is based on ZigBee technology establishing wireless sensor network , using the SCM of CC2530 RF as the solutions to the system of the ZigBee technology, achieving parameter detection of multi-environment, and controlling the receive and dispatch of signals . Meanwhile, the system uses LD3320 voice chip, take the use of (non-specific) voice recognition technology to accept and control signal, realizing voice control for home appliances. And the distribution of the system is flexible and can change any monitoring points and monitor objects. It has good scalability and stability and can be used in various occasions for environmental monitoring.
