Abstract In the context of COVID-19, in order to solve the problems that customers need to spend more energy to find products in the supermarket, long checkout queue time, and cumbersome product management, optimize the shopping route of customers, accelerate the shopping process, and reduce the risk of infection; providers exceed Supplier’s sales of goods, and then timely and purposeful selection of goods, simplifying the supply chain process between supermarkets and suppliers. This article designs a multi-terminal interactive intelligent shopping system based on UHF RFID to construct The shopping cart terminal, mobile phone APP terminal, data management system terminal, and three-terminal interactive system with RFID technology as the core are developed. The design uses the UHF RFID system to identify the information in the electronic tags of the goods, and through the navigation function, helps customers locate the desired goods, and realizes the functions of identification, information display, navigation and positioning, and settlement.

PurposeProcess models specific to the supply chain domain are an important tool for the analysis of interorganizational interfaces and requirements of information technology (IT) systems supporting supply chain decision-making. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of supply chain process models for novice analysts in conveying domain semantics compared to alternative textual representations.Design/methodology/approachA laboratory experiment with graduate students as proxies for novice analysts was conducted. Participants were randomly assigned to either the diagram group, which worked with “thread diagrams” created from the modeling grammar “Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) model”, or the text group, which worked with semantically equivalent textual representations. Domain understanding was measured using cognitively demanding information acquisition for two different domains.FindingsDiagram users were more accurate in identifying product-related information and organizing this information in a graph compared to those using the textual representation. The authors found considerable improvements in domain understanding, and using the diagrams was perceived as easy as using the texts.Originality/valueThe study's findings are unique in providing empirical evidence for supply chain process models being an effective representation for novice analysts. Such evidence is lacking in prior research because of the evaluation methods used, which are limited to scenario, case study and informed argument. This study adds the diagram user's perspective to that literature and provides a rigorous empirical evaluation by contrasting diagrammatic and textual representations.

This study aims to investigate the nature of the relationship between Big Data Analysis as a mediator in Process Orientation (PO) and Information Systems Programming (ISP) to supply chains processes in Saudi Arabian industrial organizations. A stratified random sample of 357 managers and employees working in 37 industrial companies in Saudi Arabia was tested. The study relied on the descriptive and analytical research methodology. The results indicated that there is a significant indirect effect of Big Data Analysis (Planning, Procuring, Manufacturing, Delivering) as the mediator on Process Orientation and Information Systems Programming (ISP) and (PO) to improve supply chain process as well as organizational effectiveness. The researcher made a number of recommendations for the Saudi Arabian manufacturing firms to develop analytical capabilities in managers in order to utilize big data analysis as a tool to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the organizational system. A wide spread awareness program about the benefits to adopt big data analysis and management information systems may be adopted to ensure an efficient supply chain system.

Environmental pollution is increasing day by day which is causing serious threats to our planet. Global warming, increase in temperature, melting of glaciers are some of issues which the world is facing now.  Due to ease of information sharing and technology business across the globe has become quite easier and businesses are operating in whole world. Multinationals are working in whole world. Business is one of the sources of pollution. The production process, supply chain process and many other processes from manufacturing to end product cause pollution. So, to prevent Earth from pollution concept of green marketing emerged which means to produce products which are eco-friendly and then promote these products through ecofriendly ways. The main aim of a company is to satisfy consumers. So, company keeps focus on the factors which forces the consumer to buy the product. Consumer can be motivated by various factors while purchasing product. In this paper those factors are discussed and their effect is measured on green purchase behavior. According to environmental performance index Pakistan is among top 12 countries which are affected by pollution. Meanwhile according to DAWN newspaper 2019 Pakistan has largest population of youngsters in history. So, this paper investigates the factors that influence green purchase behavior of young students.

Objective This research is to examine the supply chain management process carried out by fishermen in searching for fish in the Brondong archipelago - Lamongan East Java fishing port. In this study, researchers used a qualitative case study method with miles and hubberman analysis techniques (data reduction, data display and data verification). In this research, researchers look directly at the supply chain management process carried out there. In this study, researchers also examined the process that is adapted to Islamic Sharia, so that the supply chain process that is there can be said as a halal activity and also thayyiban. In accordance with the research objective, which is to examine halal supply chain management, researchers found that the process carried out by the fishermen who were there in carrying out their activities could be said to be halal and also tayiban

Purpose – Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) uses different detection technologies and integrated library systems (ILS) at its four libraries located at different sites. Hence, ubiquitous data management system is required in the four libraries to enable real-time data sharing and tracking among the libraries. The paper aims to discuss these issues. Design/methodology/approach – Proof of concept is used to verify the performance of integration between different detection technologies including barcode, high frequency (HF) and ultra high frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) as well as Integrated Library Management Utility (ILMU) and Koha ILSs. Five pilot tests are performed to investigate the speed of the borrowing and returning transactions, the efficiency of security gate to detect non-borrowed items, and the reliability of the ubiquitous data management system. Findings – The HF RFID technology and the proprietary library system have been used in many libraries. The current study proves that the integration of the UHF RFID technology and the Koha open-source ILS, which is named as Total Open-Source Library Automation Solution, can be a novel solution and can serve as a guide for other libraries. Originality/value – In the current phase of library data management system, it is common to integrate various technologies in improving the efficiency of the library system. But, the combination of Koha with UHF RFID into a single ILS for intra-library automation system has not been proven. This shows the importance of the proposed proven proof of concept that proves such integration is suitable to be implemented at USM libraries and other libraries.
