Abstract Automated diagnosis of diseases in the recent years have gain lots of advantages and potential. Specially automated screening of cancers has helped the clinicians over the time. Sometimes it is seen that the diagnosis of the clinicians is biased but automated detection can help them to come to a proper conclusion. Automated screening is implemented using either artificial inter connected system or convolutional inter connected system. As Artificial neural network is slow in computation, so Convolutional Neural Network has achieved lots of importance in the recent years. It is also seen that Convolutional Neural Network architecture requires a smaller number of datasets. This also provides them an edge over Artificial Neural Networks. Convolutional Neural Networks is used for both segmentation and classification. Image dissection is one of the important steps in the model used for any kind of image analysis. This paper surveys various such Convolutional Neural Networks that are used for medical image analysis.

The article considers computer vision technologies based on deep convolutional neural networks. Application of neural networks is particularly effective for solving difficult formalized problems. As a result convolutional neural network architecture to the problem of recognition and classification of marine objects on images is implemented. In the research process a retrospective analysis of computer vision technologies was performed and a number of problems associated with the use of neural networks were identified: vanishing gradient, overfitting and computational complexity. To solve these problems in neural network architecture development, it was proposed to use RELU activation function, training some randomly selected neurons and normalization for simplification of neural network architecture. Comparison of ReLU, LeakyReLU, Exponential ReLU, and SOFTMAX activation functions used in the neural network implemented in Matlab R2020a.The computer program based on convolutional neural network for marine objects recognition implemented in Visual C# programming language in MS Visual Studio integrated development environment. The program is designed for automated identification of marine objects, produces detection (i.e., presence of objects on image), and objects recognition with high probability of detection.

Automatic speaker verification is an active research area for more than four decades, and the technology has gradually upgraded for real application. In this paper, a hybrid convolutional neural network (CNN) model is proposed where a combination of the 3D CNN & 2D CNN model is used for speaker verification in the text-independent scenario. For speaker verification, this novel convolutional neural network architecture was built to capture and discard speaker and non-speaker information at the same time. In the training process, the network is trained to differentiate between different identities of a speaker to establish the background model. The model development of the speaker is one of the important aspects. Most conventional techniques employed the d-vector system to create speaker models by means of an average of the features collected from the speaker utterance. Here a hybrid of convolutional neural networks model is utilized in the development and registration phases for building a speaker model. The approach suggested exceeds the existing methods of speaker verification.

The development of the world's technology is growing rapidly, especially in the field of health in the form of detection tools of various objects, including disease objects. The technology in point is part of artificial intelligence that is able to recognize a set of imagery and classify automatically with deep learning techniques. One of the deep learning networks widely used is convolutional neural network with computer vision technology. One of the problems with computer vision that is still developing is object detection as a useful technology to recognize objects in the image as if humans knew the object of the image. In this case, a computer machine is trained in learning using artificial neural networks. One of the sub types of artificial neural networks that are able to handle computer vision problems is by using deep learning techniques with convolutional neural network algorithms. The purpose of this research is to find out how to design the system, the network architecture used for COVID-19 infection detection. The system cannot perform detection of other objects. The results of COVID-19 infection detection with convolutional neural network algorithm show unlimited accuracy value that ranges from 60-99%.

AbstractThe topical question studied in this paper is how many receptive fields (filters) a convolutional layer of a convolutional neural network should have. The goal is to find a rule for choosing the most appropriate numbers of filters. The benchmark datasets are principally diverse CIFAR-10 and EEACL26 to use a common network architecture with three convolutional layers whose numbers of filters are changeable. Heterogeneity and sensitiveness of CIFAR-10 with infiniteness and scalability of EEACL26 are believed to be relevant enough for generalization and spreading of the appropriateness of filter numbers. The appropriateness rule is drawn from top accuracies obtained on 10 × 20 × 21 parallelepipeds for three image sizes. They show, knowing that the number of filters of the first convolutional layer should be set greater for the more complex dataset, the rest of appropriate numbers of filters are set at integers, which are multiples of that number. The multipliers make a sequence similar to a progression, e.g., it may be 1, 3, 9, 15 or 1, 2, 8, 16, etc. With only those multipliers, such a rule-of-progression does not give the number of filters for the first convolutional layer.

Deep learning models are efficient in learning the features that assist in understanding complex patterns precisely. This study proposed a computerized process of classifying skin disease through deep learning based MobileNet V2 and Long Short Term Memory (LSTM). The MobileNet V2 model proved to be efficient with a better accuracy that can work on lightweight computational devices. The proposed model is efficient in maintaining stateful information for precise predictions. A grey-level co-occurrence matrix is used for assessing the progress of diseased growth. The performance has been compared against other state-of-the-art models such as Fine-Tuned Neural Networks (FTNN), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Very Deep Convolutional Networks for Large-Scale Image Recognition developed by Visual Geometry Group (VGG), and convolutional neural network architecture that expanded with few changes. The HAM10000 dataset is used and the proposed method has outperformed other methods with more than 85% accuracy. Its robustness in recognizing the affected region much faster with almost 2× lesser computations than the conventional MobileNet model results in minimal computational efforts. Furthermore, a mobile application is designed for instant and proper action. It helps the patient and dermatologists identify the type of disease from the affected region’s image at the initial stage of the skin disease. These findings suggest that the proposed system can help general practitioners efficiently and effectively diagnose skin conditions, thereby reducing further complications and morbidity.

ABSTRACT Riau batik is known since the 18th century and is used by royal kings. Riau Batik is made by using a stamp that is mixed with coloring and then printed on fabric. The fabric used is usually silk. As its development, comparing Javanese  batik with riau batik Riau is very slowly accepted by the public. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) is a combination of artificial neural networks and deeplearning methods. CNN consists of one or more convolutional layers, often with a subsampling layer followed by one or more fully connected layers as a standard neural network. In the process, CNN will conduct training and testing of Riau batik so that a collection of batik models that have been classified based on the characteristics that exist in Riau batik can be determined so that images are Riau batik and non-Riau batik. Classification using CNN produces Riau batik and not Riau batik with an accuracy of 65%. Accuracy of 65% is due to basically many of the same motifs between batik and other batik with the difference lies in the color of the absorption in the batik riau.
