Two wheelers (motor bikes) are most used easy and economic means of transportation and it also has become unsafe because of the tremendous increase of road accidents. When two-wheeler met with an accident, it is difficult to spot the neighborhood of the accident and mammoth loss occurs due to time factor. This paper presents Internet of Things based accident detection and prevention system. This is a novel system divided into four parts: first to identify the accident to send signal to emergency center along with location using Arduino based Global Positioning System and Global System for Mobile Communication and remaining are to warn to prevent the accidents like an accelerometer to determine the velocity and tilt of the vehicle, Infrared sensor to detect any obstacles and an alcohol sensor.

The two objectives of the smart accident detection and prevention system (SADPS) are 1) accident prevention and 2) accident detection. Based on the survey, 1.3 million people die every year due to roadway accidents. The main reason for this type of accident is speeding. So, the proposed SADPS focused on finding the speed parameters of each vehicle and giving notification to speeding vehicles through SMS that can be used to prevent accidents. The second objective is accident detection. For this task, each vehicle accelerometer values will be taken by the SADPS system. When an accident occurs, the location as well as the related details are sent to the SADPS system. This proposed system takes the immediate remedy by alerting the nearby police station and hospitals. Proposed SADPS also acts as a video surveillance and monitoring system. Automatic background subtraction and object tracking is done with the help of novel approaches.

Truck-lifting accidents are common in container-lifting operations. Previously, the operation sites are needed to arrange workers for observation and guidance. However, with the development of automated equipment in container terminals, an automated accident detection method is required to replace manual workers. Considering the development of vision detection and tracking algorithms, this study designed a vision-based truck-lifting prevention system. This system uses a camera to detect and track the movement of the truck wheel hub during the operation to determine whether the truck chassis is being lifted. The hardware device of this system is easy to install and has good versatility for most container-lifting equipment. The accident detection algorithm combines convolutional neural network detection, traditional image processing, and a multitarget tracking algorithm to calculate the displacement and posture information of the truck during the operation. The experiments show that the measurement accuracy of this system reaches 52 mm, and it can effectively distinguish the trajectories of different wheel hubs, meeting the requirements for detecting lifting accidents.

Vehicles are becoming smarter by the combining of greater power to compute connectivity solutions and the improvement in software visions. In modern vehicles automotive designs are interfaced with these features. This particular design includes keyless entry system and immobilizer system as the main weapons to prevent the vehicle theft. But these type of systems provide or detect the unauthorized access of vehicles to a measurable limit only. These security frameworks have straightforward also, lacking nature. So car burglary has been a persevering issue far and wide and a greater test from the profficient criminals. This paper proposes an aim to design efficient security control for auto theft prevention system by adding notable enhancement features such as a fingerprint system, password and OTP generating system. It is also included with some rationalizing security features like GPS fencing, remote engine cut-off, and conveying location of vehicle as a message using GSM module. These features are implemented with the help of fingerprint recognition module, GPS Receiver, GSM cellular modem. Along with these feature accident detection module is also added.
