Vehicles are becoming smarter by the combining of greater power to compute connectivity solutions and the improvement in software visions. In modern vehicles automotive designs are interfaced with these features. This particular design includes keyless entry system and immobilizer system as the main weapons to prevent the vehicle theft. But these type of systems provide or detect the unauthorized access of vehicles to a measurable limit only. These security frameworks have straightforward also, lacking nature. So car burglary has been a persevering issue far and wide and a greater test from the profficient criminals. This paper proposes an aim to design efficient security control for auto theft prevention system by adding notable enhancement features such as a fingerprint system, password and OTP generating system. It is also included with some rationalizing security features like GPS fencing, remote engine cut-off, and conveying location of vehicle as a message using GSM module. These features are implemented with the help of fingerprint recognition module, GPS Receiver, GSM cellular modem. Along with these feature accident detection module is also added.

In this paper, we proposed to design a next-generation auto theft prevention system by adding significant enhancements and modernizing the existing security features. As vehicles turn out to be more refined, vehicle security frameworks must be more grounded than at any other time. A current vehicle uses remote keyless passage framework and Immobilizer framework as the primary weaponry against vehicle robbery. These structures avoid unapproved access of the vehicle to a particular degree, however, are not a secure one. Because of the straightforward and imperfect nature of these security frameworks, auto burglary occurrences worldwide are on the ascent. This venture needs a low power microcontroller however with elite prerequisites. LPC11C14 from NXP Semiconductors addresses these issues and in this manner picked as the primary MCU. It is an ultra-low-power ARM Cortex-M0 based microcontroller that can run up to 50MHz. It has 32KB of Flash memory and 8KB RAM.

Two wheelers (motor bikes) are most used easy and economic means of transportation and it also has become unsafe because of the tremendous increase of road accidents. When two-wheeler met with an accident, it is difficult to spot the neighborhood of the accident and mammoth loss occurs due to time factor. This paper presents Internet of Things based accident detection and prevention system. This is a novel system divided into four parts: first to identify the accident to send signal to emergency center along with location using Arduino based Global Positioning System and Global System for Mobile Communication and remaining are to warn to prevent the accidents like an accelerometer to determine the velocity and tilt of the vehicle, Infrared sensor to detect any obstacles and an alcohol sensor.

This paper describes a markup-based approach for synthesizing disparate information sources and discusses a software implementation of the approach. The implementation makes it easier for people to use two complementary, but differently structured, guidance specifications together: the (top-down) Cybersecurity Framework and the (bottom-up) National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-53 security control catalog. An example scenario demonstrates how the software implementation can help a security professional select the appropriate safeguards for restricting unauthorized access to an Industrial Control System. The implementation and example show the benefits of this approach and suggest its potential application to disciplines other than cybersecurity.

In the last decade, there is a rapid growth in the use of Internet by the organization for information sharing. As information is very vital to the organizations, it should be preserved and insulated from any unauthorized access or alternation. In last few years, attacks on the computer infrastructures have increased exponentially. Several information security techniques are available now a days like firewalls, anti-virus software and Intrusion prevention systems (IPSs), which are important tools for protecting an organization from intrusions. Now most attacks are impossible to defend with firewalls and anti-virus software alone. Without an IPS, such attacks are difficult to detect and prevent. This chapter presents different definitions of intrusion prevention system with meaningful explanation; compare network IPS with Host IPS, common and the advanced detection methods, common IPS components, coverage of attacks by IPS and criteria to select right IPS. Finally, this chapter concludes with an analysis of the challenges that still remain to be resolved.

In today’s world as the population increases day by day the numbers of vehicle also increases on the roads and highways. This results in more accident because of rider’s poor behaviors such as speed driving, drunk driving, riding without helmet protection, riding without sufficient sleep etc. In most of the accident cases, the victims loses their lives because of unavailability of medical facilities instantly. The critical time between the accident and getting victim medical help can be the difference between life and death. It is very difficult to know that an accident has occurred and to locate position where it has happened. To solve this problem “Accident Detection and Alert System” is used to save lives by making the medical facilities arriving on time. To resolve this problem we are developing a wireless system using Accelerometer, GPS and GSM for accident detection and reporting. If any accident occurs, this wireless device will send automated message and call the police, family members giving the exact position where the crash had occurred. So they can provide proper help to victim. This system is used to report information related to accident location and personal profile. Personal profile contains name, blood group, address, phone number of family members. So it will be easy to provide help and identify the victim.
