[A persistent problem in collaboration among programs of social work education around the world has been the absence of a basis for comparisons of curricula. Excellent progress is being made on models for total program comparison, but less attention has been given to component parts of programs. This paper presents a model for analysis and comparison of curricula. Problems of apparent similarities are discussed. Curriculum is described and defined as a set of neutral indicators and as a social, political and cultural statement. The gotential difficulties inherent in this formulation are noted.
