Computer-related anxiety and stress affects everyone who uses a computer and is aggravated by poor management, faulty system design, inadequate training, misunderstandings by users of what computers can do, and substandard documentation. Research has shown that computer users, no matter how experienced they are, can experience anxiety and stress that negatively affect their job performance. The problem is so pervasive that no single management strategy, ergonomic plan, training model, or system design can resolve the dilemma. Physical and psychological problems that afflict computer users can be reduced only by a united effort of all people involved with designing systems, training, and operating computers within organizations. This article reviews research in the field, and outlines how management, system designers, and technical communicators can help users relieve stress and anxiety when using and learning how to operate computers. When managers, designers, and technical communicators work together, factors that create computer stress and anxiety can be identified and reduced when computer systems and training are properly designed and managed.

Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung is university that provide education and training in the field of engineering where there are machinery and equipment as a means of learning. The good maintenance of machine and equipment is the most important to support the learning activities. However the bad maintenance will cause disadventages for company benefit. During this time corrective maintenance is handled in a manual that is recorded in books that causes data repairing of machine is not documented well. Based on this improvement and maintenance of existing system development should be pursued in order to improve the administration system of care maintenance. The system design is oriented for creation of database applications that are expected to solve the problem.

Errors are a major problem for users. In the distant past, the users of computer technology often were limited to computer professionals with extensive technical training. With the growth of personal computers and the Internet, millions of people without technical backgrounds use computer technology on a daily basis, both at work and for leisure activities. Because errors can be such a problem for the end user, it is important to examine the causes of error, as well as different approaches for assisting the end user. This chapter presents definitions of error, as well as a taxonomy of user error. There are two general approaches for assisting the end user in responding to errors: system design and training design. Both of these are discussed in-depth in this chapter. The purpose of this chapter is to describe the current situation of end-user error and suggest ways to improve the end -user experience.
