In this chapter, some prospects in the field of electron and nuclear spin dynamics are outlined. Particular emphasis is put ona situation where the hyperfine interaction is so strong that it leads to a qualitative rearrangement of the energy spectrum resulting in the coherent excitation transfer between the electron and nucleus. The strong coupling between the spin of the charge carrier and of the nucleus is realized, for example in the case of deep impurity centers in semiconductors or in isotopically purified systems. We also discuss the effect of the nuclear spin polaron, that is ordered state, formation at low enough temperatures of nuclear spins, where the orientation of the carrier spin results in alignment of the spins of nucleus interacting with the electron or hole.

In quantum liquids, large differences are observed owing to differences in quantum statistics. The physical properties of liquid 3He (Fermion) and 4He (Boson) are considerably different at low temperatures. After the discovery of superconductivity in electron (i.e., Fermion) systems, a similar pairing ordered state was expected for 3He. Remarkably, the observed ordered state of 3He was more surprising than expected, multiple superfluid phases in the <em>T-P</em> phase diagram. The origin of the multiple phases was attributed to ferromagnetic interactions in the <em>p</em>-wave symmetry state.

ABSTRACTTransition to a ferromagnetic long range ordered state was found at 0.60 K in the orthorhombic β-phase crystal of p-nitrophenyl nitronyl nitroxide (or 2-(4′-nitrophenyl)-4, 4, 5, 5-tetramethyl-4, 5-dihydro-lH-imidazol-1-oxyl-3-N-oxide in the IUPAC nomenclature). This finding provides the first example of an organic bulk ferromagnet consisting of light elements and having a definite molecular and crystal structure.
