We study the lepton-flavor-violating processes of τ- → μ-PP decays with PP = K+K-, [Formula: see text], π+π-, π0π0 in the framework of two-Higgs-doublet model III by virtue of the chiral perturbation theory. In this model, only three neutral Higgs bosons contribute to these decays. With the current experimental constraints, we show that (a) the contributions of the |λuu(dd)| term are very small for these four decays; (b) we get the correlation between |λss| and |λτμ|; for |λτμ| ~ 10–400, one has |λss| ~ 40–1; (c) in the existing model parameter space, Br (τ- → μ- K+K-) could reach the order of [Formula: see text], but Br (τ → μ-π+π-/π0π0) are too small to be observed.

We estimate the charged lepton electric dipole moments and the branching ratios of radiative lepton flavor violating decays in the framework of the two Higgs doublet model with the inclusion of two extra dimensions. Here, we consider that the new Higgs doublet is accessible to one of the extra dimensions with a Gaussian profile and the fermions are accessible to the other extra dimension with uniform zero-mode profile. We observe that the numerical values of the physical quantities studied enhance with the additional effects due to the extra dimensions and they are sensitive to the new Higgs localization.

The D0 experiment has reported a direct search for a charged Higgs boson produced by [Formula: see text] annihilation and decaying to [Formula: see text] final state, in the 180≤MH+≤300 GeV mass range. The analysis has led to upper limits on the production cross-section in the framework of the two-Higgs doublet model types I, II and III. We compare the predictions of two different scenarios in the framework of the two-Higgs doublet type III to the cross-section limits reported by D0 collaboration, and we obtain constraints on the charged Higgs mass, for the case when the charged Higgs mass is bigger than the top quark mass. Also, searches for the charged Higgs boson with a mass smaller than top quark mass are considered, we discuss the possible limits on the charged Higgs boson mass obtained from measurements of the ratio [Formula: see text] within the two-Higgs doublet model type III.
