Abstract Nonlinear current-voltage (IV) characteristics of Bi-2212 observed in the presence of the nonmagnetic impurity have been explained incorporating the idea of Berezinskii-Kosterlitz - Thouless (BKT). An exponent (η) is extracted as a function of temperature (T) for several Bi2-xSr2 CaCu2-x ZnxO8+δ (Bi-2212) superconducting samples. Within the framework of the Ambegaokar-Halperin-Nelson-Siggia (AHNS) theory we have extracted the superfluid phase stiffness (SPS) as a function of T. A scaling between the SPS and critical temperature is observed. Strong suppression by the nonmagnetic impurity has been explained using the idea of localized phase fluctuations in the superconducting planes.

We used an electronic phase separation approach to interpret the scaling between the low-temperature superfluid density average ρ sc ( 0 ) and the superconducting critical temperature T c on overdoped La 2 − x Sr x CuO 4 films. Guided by the observed nematic and incommensurate charge ordering (CO), we performed simulations with a free energy that reproduces charge domains with wavelength λ C O and provides a scale to local superconducting interactions. Under these conditions a complex order parameter with amplitude Δ d ( r i ) and phase θ ( r i ) may develop at a domain i. We assumed that these domains are coupled by Josephson energy E J ( r i j ) , proportional to the local superfluid density ρ sc ( r i j ) . Long-range order occured when the average E J ( T c ) is ∼ k B T c . The linear ρ s c ( 0 ) vs. T c relation was satisfied whenever CO was present, even with almost vanishing charge amplitudes.

The vanadium dioxide is a material thermo chromium which sees its optical properties changing at the time of the transition from the phase of semiconductor state ↔ metal, at a critical temperature of 68°C. The study of the optical properties of a thin layer of VO₂ thickness 82 nm, such as the dielectric function, the index of refraction, the coefficient ofextinction, the absorption’s coefficient, the reflectivity, the transmittivity, in the photonic spectrum of energy ω located inthe interval: 0.001242 ≤ ω (ev) ≤ 6, enables us to control well its practical utility in various applications, like the intelligentpanes, the photovoltaic, paintings for increasing energy efficiency in buildings, detectors of infra-red (I.R) or ultra-violet(U.V). We will make simulations with Maple and compare our results with those of the literature
