Connected vehicle (CV) application developers need a development platform to build, test, and debug real-world CV applications, such as safety, mobility, and environmental applications, in edge-centric cyber-physical system (CPS). The objective of this paper is to develop and evaluate a scalable and secure CV application development platform (CVDeP) that enables application developers to build, test, and debug CV applications in real-time while meeting the functional requirements of any CV applications. The efficacy of the CVDeP was evaluated using two types of CV applications (one safety and one mobility application) and they were validated through field experiments at the South Carolina Connected Vehicle Testbed (SC-CVT). The analyses show that the CVDeP satisfies the functional requirements in relation to latency and throughput of the selected CV applications while maintaining the scalability and security of the platform and applications.

In this paper, much research is done on the traction and transmission monitoring system design and implementation of data acquisition, display, analysis and processing for the EMU’s traction and transmission system. On the basis of description of traction drive unit compositions and testing requirements, the hardware framework of traction and transmission monitoring system based on CPCI bus technology is presented in details. The testing system is then designed which is capable of electrical parameters data processing, display, storage, etc. by using LabVIEW software as the development platform. The system is miniature and provides a scientific technique method and assessment for the judge of parameter time histories characteristic analysis of the traction drive unit key components which makes it have a high application value.

With the development platform based on Advantech DAQ board, we have completed the design of multi-channel analog switch, decoding circuit and impedance testing circuit and built a good hardware platform for the automotive wiring harness testing system. Testing software is used to import different values into the digital I/O of data acquisition card of the hardware of to choose the tested points and then the voltage signal is read from every loop and the voltage signal is sent into the computer. Analyzing, processing, displaying is done by the testing software so that the hardware system becomes the development platform for Lab-VIEW software application.
