Research issues of specificity and efficiency of the computer monitoring of knowledge as a high-priority method of diagnostics of the level of students’ educational attainments are made actual. The essence of the interrelated notions such as “ computer monitoring of knowledge”, “ computer testing”, “ test assignment” is revealed.On the basis of analysis of available references the objective of computer testing is defined, the reasons of figuring out the objective results which are achieved by the means of two constituents that are proper prepared test and actionable hardware system are set. At the same time the general properties of test such as validity, complexity, reliability, stability, representativeness, significancy, truthfulness, test hypothesis and discriminant are assigned. As a rule, test consists of two parts: informational and operational. The technology of constructing test tasks is characterized, it presupposes observance of number of rules: each test task should evaluate the achievements of an important and significant educational goal; it should check the appropriate level of knowledge acquisition, as well as higher cognitive levels and the time allocated for the test task which should be spent on finding the answer, but not on understanding the condition of the question. Along with that, the efficiency of computer testing is analyzed, which depends on the variability and multiplicity of created test tasks. Based on the results of the research we have the reason to confirm that computer testing being promising direction of modern educational process becomes constituent of the modern knowledge diagnostics. It broadens the means of control and evaluation of the level of educational achievements, it is an alternative to traditional methods of monitoring, it can be carried out taking into account different types and forms of control as a tool of operational management.Computer testing enables to audit knowledge of a large number of people simultaneously in a short span of time; random selection of questions from the course unit; processing of test results on a personal computer using a rating scale.

The paper presents the construction of a three-phase frequency converter with the possibility of choosing the type of PWM modulation and a smooth change of the frequency of the modulated signal. In a practical way, various inverter control algorithms were implemented in the same hardware system using the STM ARM Cortex M3 processor. The use of THIPWM modulation allowed to reduce the harmonic content in the output signal and effectively use the possibilities of the power source. The system can choose one of two scalar control algorithms, with the option of compensation for the influence of the stator resistance on the motor shaft torque in the initial range of the linear control characteristic at a constant voltage to frequency ratio. The research confirmed that the most advantageous type of PWM in this system is unipolar double-edge modulation. The use of the THIPWM method resulted in a gain in the amplitude of the fundamental harmonic of the output voltage for the three-phase inverter operation mode compared to the SPWM method. The appropriate precision of the frequency control step was also obtained, and the test results confirmed the functionality of the converter.

At present, facial recognition technology is a very cutting-edge science and technology, and it has now become a very hot research branch. In this research, first, the thesis first summarized the research status of facial recognition technology and related technologies based on visual communication and then used the OpenCV open source vision library based on the design of the system architecture and the installed system hardware conditions. The face detection program and the image matching program are realized, and the complete face recognition system based on OpenCV is realized. The experimental results show that the hardware system built by the software can realize the image capture and online recognition. The applied objects are testers. In general, the OpenCV-based face recognition system for testers can reliably, stably, and quickly realize face detection and recognition in this situation. Facial recognition works well.

Abstract The article considers the development of a software and hardware system to study the impedance dispersion of biological fluids and tissues using an alternating signal generated and received by SensorDaq and LabView software. The design and development of the impedance measurement software and hardware system are described in detail. The impedance and capacitance values of the biological object were obtained when scanning at various frequencies and temperatures corresponding to different object conditions. The results of the system testing are shown, and the conclusions on the interaction nature of biological tissue and an external current are drawn.

This project describes a supermarket automation trolley based on an RFID reader. The trolley is equipped with an RFID reader and an electronic hardware system to make the transaction more convenient. The RFID card, whose price is set into the reader, is used to correct those items that are above a certain number. The value of the item is added to the sales bill and shown on the LCD monitor when the item is shown in front of the reader. The trolley car is programmed in such some way that it’ll move consistent with the user command. It additionally has the supply for removing the things from the trolley car wherever price is aloof from the overall cost. The user can view their bill through IOT along with the number of items purchased and total bill amount. The user can also pay the bill using his card provided and the system will give an alert if the total amount exceeds the amount in the card. The system will also suggest the user whether the purchased product is suitable for their health condition or not through IOT app provided to the user.

In recent years, an intelligent vibratory roller with adjustable mode has become the leading direction for the development of compaction equipment that can obtain the state of the pressed material during the compaction operation and then control the working parameters and the excitation mode of the whole machine according to the condition of the pressed material. The intelligent vibratory roller can better meet today’s requirements for compaction. This paper proposes a compaction operation monitoring system for an intelligent vibratory roller based on the Internet of Things. Firstly, a hardware system for real-time compaction operation monitoring was established, including the selection of a sensor module and signal conditioning module. Secondly, a method for real-time compaction monitoring data evaluation and analysis of compaction was proposed and a detailed analysis process of the compaction data was designed. Finally, the compaction operation monitoring prototype system based on the Internet of Things technology was designed and constructed.

Abstract Visual defects detection is one of the main problems in the post-harvest processing caused a major production and economic losses in agricultural industry. Manual fruits detection become easy when it is done in small amount, but the result is not consistent which will generate issue in fruit grading. A new fruit quality assessment system is necessary in order to increase the accuracy of classification, more consistencies, efficient and cost effective that would enable the industry to grow accordingly. In this paper, a method based on colour feature extraction for the quality assessment of Harumanis mango is proposed and experimentally validated. This method, including image background removal, defects segmentation and recognition and finally quality classification using Support Vector Machine (SVM) was developed. The results show that the experimental hardware system is practical and feasible, and that the proposed algorithm of defects detection is effective.
