Cable harnesses are essential assembly components that provide the electrical interconnectivity between different modules within a electromechanical product. The design and planning of cable harness assembly is a very complicated, time-consuming and key problem. Currently the design and manufacture of cable harness assembly have remained a labor intensive process. In this paper firstly the published academic in the design and planning of cable harness is reviewed. Then on the basis of analysis, its development orientations are proposed including CAD technologies, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and three-dimensional visual assembly.

AbstractCurrent studies on cable harness layouts have mainly focused on cable harness route planning. However, the topological structure of a cable harness is also extremely complex, and the branch structure of the cable harness can affect the route of the cable harness layout. The topological structure design of the cable harness is a key to such a layout. In this paper, a novel multi-branch cable harness layout design method is presented, which unites the probabilistic roadmap method (PRM) and the genetic algorithm. First, the engineering constraints of the cable harness layout are presented. An obstacle-based PRM used to construct non-interference and near to the surface roadmap is then described. In addition, a new genetic algorithm is proposed, and the algorithm structure of which is redesigned. In addition, the operation probability formula related to fitness is proposed to promote the efficiency of the branch structure design of the cable harness. A prototype system of a cable harness layout design was developed based on the method described in this study, and the method is applied to two scenarios to verify that a quality cable harness layout can be efficiently obtained using the proposed method. In summary, the cable harness layout design method described in this study can be used to quickly design a reasonable topological structure of a cable harness and to search for the corresponding routes of such a harness.

The integration of Artificial Intelligence technology and school education had become a future trend, and became an important driving force for the development of education. With the advent of the era of big data, although the relationship between students’ learning status data was closer to nonlinear relationship, combined with the application analysis of artificial intelligence technology, it could be found that students’ living habits were closely related to their academic performance. In this paper, through the investigation and analysis of the living habits and learning conditions of more than 2000 students in the past 10 grades in Information College of Institute of Disaster Prevention, we used the hierarchical clustering algorithm to classify the nearly 180000 records collected, and used the big data visualization technology of Echarts + iView + GIS and the JavaScript development method to dynamically display the students’ life track and learning information based on the map, then apply Three Dimensional ArcGIS for JS API technology showed the network infrastructure of the campus. Finally, a training model was established based on the historical learning achievements, life trajectory, graduates’ salary, school infrastructure and other information combined with the artificial intelligence Back Propagation neural network algorithm. Through the analysis of the training resulted, it was found that the students’ academic performance was related to the reasonable laboratory study time, dormitory stay time, physical exercise time and social entertainment time. Finally, the system could intelligently predict students’ academic performance and give reasonable suggestions according to the established prediction model. The realization of this project could provide technical support for university educators.

According to the characteristics of aerospace product, the model representation and storage of the rigid part and cable harness is proposed. The Dendritic Correlative Model of Mixed Assembly of Rigid and Flexible Parts (DCMMA-RFP) is introduced based on the hierarchical model and graph model. The assembly model which realizes the lightweight storage can clearly represent the hierarchy relation and assembly process of aerospace products. The assembly modeling process in the virtual assembly environment is detailed described. Finally the effectiveness of DCMMA-RFP is verified by an example.
