This article describes the development of handep cooperative learning model consist of 3-4 members become pair handep cooperative learning model in the form of module and validated by experts and students who used it. The model of development used R2D2, that focused on the design and development stage. The draft of the model at the single-path prototype level validated by the learning expert and small group validation in context the of mathematics learning in secondary school, to get the model at alpha version level. The instrument is rubric and questionnaire for small group testing. The result of the research (1) the model has fulflled the principle of quantum teaching that is context orchestrations include an exciting learning atmosphere and solid foundation; (2) junior high school students rated the model interesting and fun; (3) learning steps that to be challenging on individual work steps and mutually assisting in solved the difcult problems for students individually; (4) the model has reached the alpha version level. Keywords: Aplha version; cooperative learning; pairs handep; quantum teaching; single path prototype

PurposeThis paper seeks to describe the process used to develop the multimedia design and planning pyramid (MUDPY) ontology, and the role played by the MUDPY ontology as a planning, design and development tool in multimedia projects.Design/methodology/approachThe MUDPY model was implemented for the semantic web by developing an ontology for it. This ontology facilitates defining the concepts existing in that domain, their attributes and the relationships between them.FindingsThe MUDPY ontology can guide developers through the various phases of a multimedia project in a systematic fashion by allowing them to create a project proposal, specify the functional requirements, decide on the navigational structure and create a storyboard, and thus create high‐quality projects.Research limitations/implicationsThe current system is a prototype. This MUDPY ontology can be extended by adding more classes in order to increase its functionality; for example, one can develop special plug‐in widgets to generate project reports required during multimedia project planning and design.Practical implicationsBy using the MUDPY ontology, developers can follow a systematic process for project development, and better manage the complexity of multimedia projects.Originality/valueThe paper introduces the MUDPY model and its ontology, and shows a multimedia author the pathway to manage a multitude of concepts and assets required in a multimedia project.

A flipped classroom teaching approach has been used in the teaching of college algebra within a broader initiative for mathematics learning. The flipped classroom approach documented in this chapter utilizes multiple teaching strategies to enhance student learning. From the pilot teaching of two semesters of college algebra, a teaching model was developed using the Joyce, Weil, and Calhoun (2009) framework. The purpose of this study and chapter is to describe the design and development of the flipped classroom teaching model in terms of the design decisions, model implementation, and model evaluation over the two semesters. Student survey responses and interview results suggest that this teaching model improved student perceptions of learning college algebra. Findings reported in this study document the use of the model, while future iterations of the design and development cycle (Richey & Klein, 2007) are necessary to understand the impact of the flipped classroom model on student learning.
