The paper presents an alternative approach to metrological support and assessment of the technical condition of rolling bearings in operation. The analysis of existing approaches, including methods of vibration diagnostics, envelope analysis, wavelet analysis, etc. Considers the possibility of applying a phase-chronometric method for support on the basis of neurodiagnostics bearing life cycle on the basis of the unified format of measurement information. The possibility of diagnosing a rolling bearing when analyzing measurement information from the shaft and separator was evaluated.

The motor is the workhorse of industries. The issues of preventive and condition-based maintenance, online monitoring, system fault detection, diagnosis, and prognosis are of increasing importance. This paper introduces fault detection for induction motors. Stator currents are measured by current meters and stored by time domain. The time domain is not suitable for representing current signals, so the frequency domain is applied to display signals. The Fourier Transform is employed to convert signals. After signal conversion, signal features must be extracted by signal processing such as wavelet and spectrum analysis. Features are entered in a pattern classification model such as a neural network model, a polynomial neural network, or a fuzzy inference model. This paper describes fault detection results that use Fourier and wavelet analysis. This combined approach is very useful and powerful for detecting signal features.

At present, Kuzbass coal strip mines pay great attention to improving quality performance of mining equipment operation, including reliability and durability of components and units. One of the ways of the performance improvement is decreasing number of unforeseen failures. To achieve this purpose a mine dump truck part diagnostics should be introduced into a maintenance service procedure. At the same time the process of diagnostics should not increase the machinery downtime, but effectively reveal a condition of motor-wheel gearboxes in the course of dump truck operation. The aim of the research is to increase the reliability and service life of motor-wheel gearboxes of large BelAZ dump trucks. Failure of a motor-wheel gearbox is a rare phenomenon, but the cost of a new gearbox can vary from 3.5 to 10 million rubles. That is why it is important to implement such methods of diagnostics, which allow revealing the condition of gearboxes in the shortest possible time and without disassembling corresponding units. Determination of the actual technical condition of motor-wheel gearboxes is possible by different methods: vibroacoustic; acoustic; thermal; physical and chemical analysis of spent operating materials. The studies showed that none of these methods can be used as a universal one. When justifying and selecting the most suitable method, different factors should be considered, including technological, or a combination of methods should be applied, which will reduce risks, but at the same time increase costs. It is necessary to develop a better diagnostic method based on the use of several methods simultaneously.

One of the most important indicators of mining complexes are reliability and durability of their components. Studies have shown that the largest amount of mine dump truck down time occurs due to unforeseen failures of a motor-wheel gear. The introduction of additional technological processes to diagnose the actual technical condition of a gear in the maintenance procedure will make it possible to maintain directly the state of its component parts with in-place manner. The method of diagnosing the condition of a motor-wheel gear is based on physical and chemical analysis of oil, as well as its temperature control. During open pit machinery exploitation, various mechanical impurities of wear products of rubbing surfaces accumulate in the operating oil, so it is possible to predict the degree of wear of gear units and mechanisms based on these mechanical impurities. The introduction of this method in production will significantly reduce the down time of dump trucks, thereby increase the productivity of the enterprise and reduce repair costs.
