Profibus and CAN bus are two kinds of widely used field bus in the industrial control field. However, this two bus protocol conversion devices are not introduced on the market, it can not meet the needs of users. Therefore, the design of a Profibus and CAN protocol translation ngateway is very important. By comparing the OSI reference model, the same points of Profibus and CAN bus can be found, their communication model structure is streamlined by the OSI model, they are only three layers, which makes it possible to interconnect them. This paper designs an embedded protocol conversion gateway, S3C2410 processor is used as main controller, SPC3 and SJA1000 are selected as Profibus and CAN protocol chips. The design has realized Profibus and CAN bus protocol conversion, using this gateway in industrial field can bring certain economic benefits for the enterprise.

Due to high correspondence speed, great real-time performance and good expansibility, CAN bus has been used widely in aerospace, large-scale equipments and other fields these years .This paper introduces a kind of CAN Bus Test Instrument based on PXI bus and FPGA, which is used to test and monitor the CAN bus equipment. The result of test shows that this kind of test instrument has great advantages in reliability, stability and extensibility.

With the development of factory automation technology, Profibus-DP fieldbus and Modbus protocol has become the most widely used communication technology at home and abroad, but the choices which can accomplish the data conversion between these two devices is not enough. According to the Modbus RTU communication agreement for the use of frequency converter, the article provides a kind of communication interface based on Profibus-DP and the Modbus communication protocol conversion which mainly introduces its hardware and software design scheme, and expounds the dependability and real-time performance of the communication interface.
