In last years, dc-dc converters solve the most issues in the industrial application in the area of power electronics, especially renewable energy, military applications and affiliated engineering developments. They are used to convert the DC input that unregulated to regulated output perhaps larger or smaller than input according to the type of converters. This paper presents three primary control method used for negative output Super lift Luo DC-DC converter. These methods include a Voltage mode control (VMC), Current mode control (CMC), and Sliding mode control (SMC). The goal of this article is to study and selected an appropriate and superior control scheme for negative DC-DC converters. The simulation results show the effectiveness of Sliding mode control for enhancing the performance of the negative dc-dc converter. Also, this method can keep the output voltage constant under load conditions. simulation results obtained by the MATLAB/Simulink environment.

Catheters are used in medical applications such as bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, angiography. Due to the catheters are in direct contact with the tissue in these procedures, their movements must be controlled. In this study, three different sliding-mode controllers that can be used to control the movement of the catheter have been proposed. These are the classical sliding mode controller, quasi sliding mode controller, and asymptotic sliding mode controller structures. Performance comparison of the controllers was made by assessing the closed-loop system response. The results indicated that the performance of the quasi sliding mode controller was better than the other controllers. It has been proposed to use a fuzzy logic-based highest controller to improve the performance of the quasi sliding mode controller. The proposed controller structure updates the controller parameters depending on the predicted disturbance magnitude and position error. The results show that the real-time performance of the quasi sliding mode controller is improved by the change of the proposed control structure.

Bois-Rouge factory, an 8000 t/d cane Reunionese sugarcane mill, has fully equipped its filtration station with vacuum belt press filters since 2010, the first one being installed in 2009. The present study deals with this 3-year experience and discusses operating conditions, electricity consumption, performance and optimisation. The comparison with the more classical rotary drum vacuum filter station of Le Gol sugar mill highlights advantages of vacuum belt press filters: high filtration efficiency, low filter cake mass and sucrose content, low total solids content in filtrate and low power consumption. However, this technology needs a mud conditioning step and requires a large amount of water to improve mud quality, mixing of flocculant and washing of filter belts. The impact on the energy balance of the sugar mill is significant. At Bois-Rouge mill, studies are underway to reduce the water consumption by recycling low d.s. filtrate and by dry cleaning the filter belts.
