Corporate logistics a major tool used to facilitate corporate goals. By definition it is a set of tasks, arranged in a way that promotes optimum material, information and value flow during the transformation process. As the above definition implies, the corporate logistics provides visualization of material flow throughout the corporation. Whereas the planning defines what will be produced, the actual production defines the production means. In contrast, the logistics provides for means and measures to ensure production preparedness, providing not only for the actual production of goods but also for a timely and effective information flow in order to achieve optimum balance of all flows in support of corporate objectives.

Abstract. This paper reviews the changing relation between human beings and water since the Industrial Revolution, a period that has been called the Anthropocene because of the unprecedented scale at which humans have altered the planet during this time. We show how the rapidly changing world urges us to continuously improve our understanding of the complex interactions between humans and the water system. The paper starts by demonstrating that hydrology and the science of managing water resources have played key roles in human and economic development throughout history; yet these roles have often been marginalised or obscured. Knowledge of hydrology and water resources engineering and management helped to transform the landscape, and thus also the very hydrology within catchments itself. It is only fairly recent that water experts have become conscious of such mechanisms, exemplified by several concepts that try to incorporate them – integrated water resources management, eco-hydrology, socio-hydrology. We have reached a stage at which a more systemic understanding of scale interdependencies can inform the sustainable governance of water systems, using new concepts like precipitation sheds, virtual water transfers, water footprints, and water value flow.

Ours is an epoch when stratagem will win. The strategic planning of logistics is closely related to the rise and fall of a modern enterprise. With the constant social progress and fast economic development, the social and economic environment faced by enterprises is continuously changing and there exist uncertainties of strategic planning of the logistics of enterprise. The thesis discusses about the Three-tier model, its activities and technologies in the context of the concept design. The research can not only serve as a theoretical guidance, but also be applied to the real-world issues. From the perspective of the relationship between concept design and value flow of enterprises, it advances methods of implementing logistic strategy in enterprises. To ensure the effective implementation of logistic management, a platform is indispensable that will be formed by making use of the Internet and the intranet.
