Internet of Things has been increasing its usage and recognition in vast sectors like Defence, Business, Industries, and Hospitals. The data disruption is strictly unacceptable in a number of these sectors because it could end up in serious Loss or Damages to the entire system. As of now, IOT is using a central cloud storage system for information storage and transactions. However, some examples already verified that Central cloud storage information might be hacked and changed by the specialists. This paper presents an IoT system having localized block chain storage which works on real time data and manipulates with narrowness of data interruption and modification and its recovery.

Cloud storage provides a potential solution replacing physical disk drives in terms of prominent outsourcing services. A threaten from an untrusted server affects the security and integrity of the data. However, the major problem between the data integrity and cost of communication and computation is directly proportional to each other. It is hence necessary to develop a model that provides the trade-off between the data integrity and cost metrics in cloud environment. In this paper, we develop an integrity verification mechanism that enables the utilisation of cryptographic solution with algebraic signature. The model utilises elliptic curve digital signature algorithm (ECDSA) to verify the data outsources. The study further resists the malicious attacks including forgery attacks, replacing attacks and replay attacks. The symmetric encryption guarantees the privacy of the data. The simulation is conducted to test the efficacy of the algorithm in maintaining the data integrity with reduced cost. The performance of the entire model is tested against the existing methods in terms of their communication cost, computation cost, and overhead cost. The results of simulation show that the proposed method obtains reduced computational of 0.25% and communication cost of 0.21% than other public auditing schemes.

In this paper, the development of a smart Internet of Things (IoT)-based system to monitor and prevent household gas wastage is proposed. An IoT-based gas wastage monitoring system was developed. The system needs to be integrated with the cooker. There are sensors integrated with the system that will find out if the cooker is being used for cooking purposes or not. If it is found that the cooker is not in use, there is automated switching-off technique in the system to turn off the supply of gas. The system also includes a cloud storage feature. With the help of this cloud storage system, the use of gas per day for each user can be monitored. This process will help to detect the misuse of natural gas of each user at the end of the day. The system has been tested and it is working fine. In the future, more features will be added to this system. This system will help prevent the wastage of natural gas and save the country from depleting its stores of it.

SafeDrive is an efficient, reliable, and secure multi-cloudfile storage system that keeps data safe and accessible even if you do not fully trust the service provider, whose systems can be compromised or become unavailable. SafeDrive relies on distributed storage on multiple clouds and employs fast techniques for tolerating multiple service outages. Data remain seamlessly accessible as long as m-out-of-n clouds are available. With SafeDrive, data and access credentials never exist in an unencrypted form outside the client’s machine.
