Currently, Petrobras (the Brazilian state oil company) performs numerical simulations of pipelaying operations employing commercial software, such as OffPipe [1]. However, such tools presents restrictions/limitations related to the user interface, model generation and analysis formulations. These limitations hinder its efficient use for analyses of installation procedures for the scenarios considered by Petrobras, using the BGL-1 barge (owned by Petrobras) or other vessels, considering for instance particular types of stingers depending on depth and pipeline, with different lengths and geometries adapted to certain laying conditions in S-Lay procedures. Therefore, the objective of this work is to present the development and application of a tailored, in-house non-commercial computational tool in which the modules follow Petrobras users’ specifications, in order to overcome the limitations for specific needs and particular scenarios in the simulation of several types of pipeline procedures. Such tool, called SITUA-PetroPipe, presents a friendly interface with the user, for instance allowing the complete customization of the configuration of laybarge and stinger rollers. It also includes novel analysis methods and formulations, including the ability of coupling the structural behavior of the pipe with the hydrodynamic behavior of the vessel motions under environmental conditions.

This paper presents a methodology for the positioning of a turret based on the hydrodynamic behavior of the FPSO and the structural behavior of the mooring lines. It is presented a procedure for the simulation of the equilibrium and the dynamics of the FPSO’s for a range of environmental conditions and positions of the turret. The results are studied in order to define the best position for the turret. Experimental results are used in order to calibrate the physical models.

Traditional interactive software and its User Interface (UI) have many shortcomings, so it's hard to meet the needs of users. But the new personalized interface model has good expansibility as it's based on XML language. In addition, the separate storage of XML file and executable programs fully realize the separation of application logic and UI.

<p>This paper focuses on the structural behavior of tiled laminate composites. Such laminates, in which the plies are not parallel to the outer surfaces are found in GFRP bridge deck panels. The technology is developed for the construction of robust GFRP panels useful in highly loaded structures such as bridges or lock gates. In civil structures, the drawback in traditional FRP sandwich structures has always been debonding of skin and core. Such a debonding problem may occur after unintentional impact, followed by fatigue loading. Through the concept of using overlapping Z-shaped and two-flanged web laminates, alternating with polyurethane foam cores, debonding is no longer possible in vacuum infused GFRP bridge deck panels. In such panels, the fibers in the upper and lower skins as well as in the vertical webs run in all directions, rendering a resin-dominated crack propagation impossible. As a result of the integration of core and skin reinforcement, a skin material is created in which the reinforcement is not parallel to the outer surfaces, but tiled. Based on experimental results and numerical simulations the relevance of tiled laminates for civil applications is demonstrated.</p>

<i>Abstract</i>— One of the most prevalent diseases, skin cancer, has been proven to be treatable at an early stage. Thus, techniques that allow individuals to identify skin cancer symptoms early are in great demand. This paper proposed an interactive skin lesion diagnosis system based on the ensemble of multiple sophisticated CNN models for image classification. The performance of ResNet50, ResNeXt50, ResNeXt101, EfficientNetB4, Mobile-NetV2, MobileNetV3, and MnasNet are investigated separately as ensemble components. Then, using various criteria, we constructed ensembles and compared the accuracy they achieved. Moreover, we designed a method to update the ensemble for new data and examined its performance. In addition, a few natural language processing (NLP) techniques were used to make our system more user-friendly. To integrate all the functionalities, we built a user interface with PyQt5. As a result, MobileNetV3 achieved 91.02% as the best accuracy among all single models; ensemble weighted by cubic precision achieved 92.84% accuracy as the highest one in this study; a notable improvement in accuracy demonstrated the effectiveness of the model updating approach, and a system with all of the desired features was successfully developed. These findings benefit in two aspects. For model performance, applying cubic precisions can increase ensemble learning classification accuracy. For the developed diagnosis system, it can aid in the
