The purposes of this study were to investigate sprints and to characterize repeated-sprint sequences (RS) performed by athletes during professional futsal matches. We analyzed 97 players during 5 official matches using the DVideo automatic tracking system. The sprints were analyzed during the first and second halves according to playing position, and RS were categorized according to the number of sprints and the time between them. The results showed an increase (F[1, 2520] = 3.96; P = .046) in the sprint duration from the first (mean = 3.1 ± 1.3) to the second half (mean = 3.2 ± 1.2). However, no differences were found for other variables (distance covered, peak velocity, initial velocity, recovery time between sprints, and sprints performed per minute) or among playing positions. In addition, when considering RS, the results showed that RS comprising two sprints interspersed with a maximum of 15 seconds of recovery were significantly more frequent than other RS. The findings of this study characterizing the sprinting features of futsal players can help coaches to plan physical training and assessments according to the requirements of the sport.

The ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) experiment at CERN will upgrade its Inner Tracking System (ITS) detector. The new ITS will consist of seven coaxial cylindrical layers of ALPIDE silicon sensors which are based on Monolithic Active Pixel Sensor (MAPS) technology. We have studied the radiation hardness of ALPIDE sensors using a 30 MeV proton beam provided by the cyclotron U-120M of the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Řež. In this paper, these long-term measurements will be described. After being irradiated up to the total ionization dose 2.7 Mrad and non-ionizing energy loss 2.7 × 10 13 1 MeV n eq · cm - 2 , ALPIDE sensors fulfill ITS upgrade project technical design requirements in terms of detection efficiency and fake-hit rate.

In order to improve the solar energy utilization, in the respect of technology, we should perfect solar tracking devices, realization of the sunlight is always vertical to the solar panels. This paper is to design a kind of solar automatic tracking system. Design adopts the traditional photoelectric tracking method, with the FPGA as the core, and by using the methods of scheduled monitoring, achieve precise control of stepping motor, thereby promoting the solar panels rotate remains vertical to the sun, which can effectively improve the efficiency of solar power systems.

Laser cutting focus position automatic tracking system of control precision directly affects the quality of laser cutting processing. There is a low anti-jamming capability, poor quality, poorer openness and poorer dynamic response short comings in the inductive sensor or the capacitive sensor and constitute of the single chip microcomputer control system. This paper introduces a laser focus automatic tracking system based on motion controller, using optical encoder as displacement sensor, use the motion controller of master-slave tracking (electronic gear) function implementation focus position error compensation quickly. Improve the quality of system control, openness, the stability and reliability.
