ABSTRACT Pseudomonas stutzeri strain KMS 55 (MTCC 12703) is an isolate from the root tissues of rice (Oryza sativa L.) that displays a high biological nitrogen fixation ability. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of this strain, which contains 4,637,820 bp, 4,289 protein-coding genes, 5,006 promoter sequences, 62 tRNAs, a single copy of 5S-16S-23S rRNA, and a genome average GC content of 51.18%. Analysis of the ~4.64-Mb genome sequence will give support to increased understanding of the genetic determinants of host range, endophytic colonization behavior, endophytic nitrogen fixation, and other plant-beneficial roles of Pseudomonas stutzeri.

ABSTRACT Ligilactobacillus salivarius TUCO-L2 was isolated from llama milk in Bio-Bio, Chile, and sequenced with the Illumina MiSeq platform. TUCO-L2 genome sequencing revealed a genome size of 1,600,747 bp with 1,691 protein-coding genes and a GC content of 33%. This draft genome sequence will contribute to a better understanding of the microbiome of llama milk.

ABSTRACT Ligilactobacillus salivarius FFIG58 was isolated from the intestine of a wakame-fed pig and sequenced with an Illumina HiSeq system. FFIG58 genome sequencing revealed a genome size of 1,984,180 bp, with 1,994 protein-coding genes and a GC content of 32.9%. This draft genome sequence will contribute to a better understanding of the porcine gut microbiome.

This study reports the draft genome sequence of the endophytic Streptomyces cavourensis strain YBQ59, produces the antibiotics bafilomycin D, nonactic acid, prelactone B, and 5,11-epoxy-10-cadinanol. The draft genome sequence comprises ∼10.2 Mb, with a GC content of 64% and 8,958 predicted protein-coding genes, of which 14 gene clusters were found to associate with antibiotic biosynthetic pathways.

ABSTRACT The novel strain Lactobacillus rhamnosus OSU-PECh-69 was isolated from provolone cheese. It produces antimicrobial agents having a molecular mass of 5 to 10 kDa that are active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The strain has a genome sequence of 3,057,669 bp, a GC content of 46.6%, and up to two gene clusters encoding bacteriocins.

We report here the draft genome sequence of a Chryseobacterium indologenes strain, isolated from a blood culture of a 2.2-year-old child admitted to the hospital for vomiting and coughing. The genome was composed of 5,063,674 bp and had 37.04% GC content. We detected 4,796 genes with predicted protein-coding functions, including those associated with antibiotic resistance.
