We discuss the supersymmetric standard model from the perspective that the up and down Higgs supermultiplets are composite states. We show that a Higgs multiplet in which the scalar states are bound states of two squarks and the corresponding Higgsinos are bound states of a quark and a squark has the correct supersymmetry transformations and may lead to an alternative model which contains additional effective operators and which displays dynamical symmetry breaking. We describe this model through an effective Higgs potential which by itself may lead to the correct mass of 125.9 GeV for the lightest Higgs boson and to other neutral scalar masses respecting the experimental constraints.

The Higgs boson mass problem is considered in the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model. The Higgs potential and the renormalization group equations for the gauge, Yukawa and scalar coupling constants are analyzed. The restrictions on the Higgs boson masses are found for the cases of presence and absence of spontaneous CP-violation.

Abstract We study a two-loop finiteness of an effective potential for a Higgs boson that is the fifth component of a gauge field in an U(1) gauge theory coupled to quantum gravity on the five-dimensional space-time M4 × S1. There are two types of diagrams including quantum gravitational corrections. We find that only one type of diagram contributes to the effective potential for the Higgs boson in fact and its magnitude is finite.

The Higgs boson mass problem is considered in the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model for the case of spontaneous CP-violation. The renormalization group equations for the gauge, Yukawa and scalar coupling constants, the effective Higgs potential and lower experimental bounds on Higgs boson and chargino masses are analyzed. The restrictions on the Higgs boson masses are found.

I summarize some results related with the determination of the Higgs potential, including a hadron-level Monte Carlo study of the sensitivity of Higgs boson pair production via the [Formula: see text] channel with the final state [Formula: see text] and the sensitivity study on the triple Higgs boson final state via [Formula: see text] in a 100 TeV collider.

Possible realistic scenarios are investigated in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) Higgs sector extended by dimension-six effective operators. The CP-odd Higgs boson with low mass around 30–90 GeV could be consistently introduced in the regime of large threshold corrections to the effective MSSM two-doublet Higgs potential.
