In this paper, we start the program of the existence of the smooth equivariant geodesics in the equivariant Mabuchi moduli space of Kähler metrics on type II cohomogeneity one compact Kähler manifold. In this paper, we deal with the manifolds [Formula: see text] obtained by blowing up the diagonal of the product of two copies of a [Formula: see text].

Let M be a compact Kähler manifold endowed with a real analytic and polarized Kähler metric g and let Tmω(x) be the corresponding Kempf's distortion function. In this paper we compute the coefficients of Tian–Yau–Zelditch asymptotic expansion of Tmω(x) using quantization techniques alternative to Lu's computations in [10].

AbstractIt is well known in Kähler geometry that the infinite-dimensional symmetric space $\mathcal{H}$ of smooth Kähler metrics in a fixed Kähler class on a polarized Kähler manifold is well approximated by finite-dimensional submanifolds $\mathcal{B}_k\subset\mathcal{H}$ of Bergman metrics of height k. Then it is natural to ask whether geodesics in $\mathcal{H}$ can be approximated by Bergman geodesics in $\mathcal{B}_k$. For any polarized Kähler manifold, the approximation is in the C0 topology. For some special varieties, one expects better convergence: Song and Zelditch proved the C2 convergence for the torus-invariant metrics over toric varieties. In this article, we show that some C∞ approximation exists as well as a complete asymptotic expansion for principally polarized abelian varieties.

We prove the existence of a (unique) S1-invariant Ricci-flat Kähler metric on a neighbourhood of the zero section in the canonical bundle of a real-analytic Kähler manifold X, extending the metric on X.

We show some examples of compact symplectic solvmanifolds, of dimension greater than four, which are cohomologically Kähler and do not admit Kähler metric since their fundamental groups cannot be the fundamental group of any compact Kähler manifold. Some of the examples that we study were considered by Benson and Gordon (1990). However, whether such manifolds have Kähler metrics was an open question. The formality and the hard Lefschetz property are studied for the symplectic submanifolds constructed by Auroux (1997) and some consequences are discussed.

There is a natural Moser type transformation along any curve in the moduli spaces of Kähler metrics. In this paper we apply this transformation to give an explicit construction of the parallel transformation along a curve in the Mabuchi moduli space of Kähler metrics. This is crucial in the proof of the equivalence between the existence of the Kähler metrics with constant scalar curvature and the geodesic stability for the type II compact almost homogeneous manifolds of cohomogeneity one mentioned in (Guan 2013). We also explain a new description of the geodesics and prove a curvature property of the moduli space, called curvature symmetric, which makes it similar to some special symmetric spaces with nonpositive curvatures, although the spaces are usually not complete. Finally, we generalize our geodesic stability conjectures in (Guan 2003) and give several results on the Lie algebra structures related to the parallel transformations. In the last section, we generalize the Futaki obstruction of the Kähler-Einstein metrics to the parallel vector fields of the invariant Mabuchi moduli space. We call the related stability the parallel stability. This includes the toric and cohomogeneity one cases as well as the spherical manifolds.

AbstractWe construct a quaternionic Kähler manifold from a conical special Kähler manifold with a certain type of mutually local variation of BPS structures. We give global and local explicit formulas for the quaternionic Kähler metric and specify under which conditions it is positive-definite. Locally, the metric is a deformation of the 1-loop corrected Ferrara–Sabharwal metric obtained via the supergravity c-map. The type of quaternionic Kähler metrics we obtain is related to work in the physics literature by S. Alexandrov and S. Banerjee, where they discuss the hypermultiplet moduli space metric of type IIA string theory, with mutually local D-instanton corrections.

AbstractLet X be a compact Kähler manifold. Let $$T_1, \ldots , T_m$$ T 1 , … , T m be closed positive currents of bi-degree (1, 1) on X and T an arbitrary closed positive current on X. We introduce the non-pluripolar product relative to T of $$T_1, \ldots , T_m$$ T 1 , … , T m . We recover the well-known non-pluripolar product of $$T_1, \ldots , T_m$$ T 1 , … , T m when T is the current of integration along X. Our main results are a monotonicity property of relative non-pluripolar products, a necessary condition for currents to be of relative full mass intersection in terms of Lelong numbers, and the convexity of weighted classes of currents of relative full mass intersection. The former two results are new even when T is the current of integration along X.

We prove that the canonical bundle of a foliation by curves on a compact Kähler manifold is pseudoeffective, unless the foliation is a (special) foliation by rational curves.

Abstract A conjecture of Kotschick predicts that a compact Kähler manifold $X$ fibres smoothly over the circle if and only if it admits a holomorphic one-form without zeros. In this paper we develop an approach to this conjecture and verify it in dimension two. In a joint paper with Hao [ 10], we use our approach to prove Kotschick’s conjecture for smooth projective three-folds.
