In this work, we have extracted the initial temperature from the transverse momentum spectra of charged particles in Au + Au collisions using STAR data at RHIC energies from [Formula: see text] = 7.7–200 GeV. The initial energy density [Formula: see text], shear viscosity to entropy density ratio [Formula: see text], trace anomaly [Formula: see text], the squared speed of sound [Formula: see text], entropy density, and bulk viscosity to entropy density ratio [Formula: see text] are obtained and compared with the lattice QCD calculations for (2 + 1) flavor. The initial temperatures obtained are compared with various hadronization and chemical freeze-out temperatures. The analysis of the data shows that the deconfinement-to-confinement transition possibly takes place between [Formula: see text] = 11.5 and 19.6 GeV.

The transverse momentum spectra of [Formula: see text] mesons, protons and antiprotons produced in proton–proton collisions at 200 GeV with hadron production models are reported. Two tunes of EPOS (EPOS1.99 and EPOS-LHC), three tunes of QGSJET (QGSJETI, QGSJETII-03, QGSJETII-04), DPMJET and HIJING models are used to obtain the spectra. The results are compared with the measurements of STAR collaboration obtained at mid-rapidity of [Formula: see text] in [Formula: see text] range of [Formula: see text]. All models reproduce the ratios [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] at low [Formula: see text] but could not predict well at high [Formula: see text]. In addition, EPOS tunes and QGSJET tunes predict well the spectra of [Formula: see text] meson and the ratios [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] at low [Formula: see text]. The HIJING and the QGSJET (tune I only) could reproduce all the spectra and all the ratios at a satisfactory level of precision and were found good among the models considered in the current study at RHIC energy.

The transverse momentum spectra of π-, π+, K-, K+, p¯, and p produced in Au+Au collisions at center-of-mass energy sNN=7.7, 11.5, 19.6, 27, 39, 62.4, 130, and 200 GeV are analyzed in the framework of a multisource thermal model. The experimental data measured at midrapidity by the STAR Collaboration are fitted by the (two-component) standard distribution. The effective temperature of emission source increases obviously with the increase of the particle mass and the collision energy. At different collision energies, the chemical potentials of up, down, and strange quarks are obtained from the antiparticle to particle yield ratios in given transverse momentum ranges available in experiments. With the increase of logarithmic collision energy, the chemical potentials of light flavor quarks decrease exponentially.

Hadronic resonances measured experimentally by invariant mass reconstruction in relativistic heavy-ion collisions contain contributions from different production channels and/or stages, i.e., leftovers of primordial hadronization, regenerations in hadronic rescatterings and those decayed from heavier resonances. We use a UrQMD model to systematically calculate the proportions of these different channels in final observation of resonances K*(892), Σ*(1385), ϕ(1020), Ξ*(1530) and Λ(1520) and investigate the time evolution of these resonance productions in AA collisions at [Formula: see text], 62.4 and 200 GeV. We study the yields, transverse momentum spectra and elliptic flows of these resonances and discuss the survival information of the primordial hadronization in final observations.

Transverse momentum spectra of negative particles and photons have been measured in p + W, 16O + W, and 32S + W collisions, at a laboratory energy of 200 GeV/nucleon. Spectra obtained with the various beams and for several intervals of transverse energy were compared. No significant variation was detected.

We analyze transverse momentum spectra ofKS0andK*0at midrapidity ind+ Au, Cu + Cu, andp+pcollisions atsNN=200 GeV in the formworks of Tsallis statistics and Boltzmann statistics, respectively. Both of them can describe the transverse momentum spectra and extract the thermodynamics parameters of matter evolution in the collisions. The parameters are helpful for us to understand the thermodynamics factors of the particle production.
