In this paper, we study multivariate Gabor frames in matrix-valued signal spaces over locally compact abelian (LCA) groups, where the lower frame condition depends on a bounded linear operator [Formula: see text] on the underlying matrix-valued signal space. This type of Gabor frame is also known as a multivariate [Formula: see text]-Gabor frame. By extending work of Gǎvruta, we present necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of [Formula: see text]-Gabor frames of multivariate matrix-valued Gabor systems. Some operators which can transform multivariate matrix-valued Gabor and [Formula: see text]-Gabor frames into [Formula: see text]-Gabor frames in terms of adjointable operators are discussed. Finally, we give a Paley–Wiener-type perturbation result for multivariate matrix-valued [Formula: see text]-Gabor frames.

Let $G$ be a topological group, let $\unicode[STIX]{x1D719}$ be a continuous endomorphism of $G$ and let $H$ be a closed $\unicode[STIX]{x1D719}$-invariant subgroup of $G$. We study whether the topological entropy is an additive invariant, that is, $$\begin{eqnarray}h_{\text{top}}(\unicode[STIX]{x1D719})=h_{\text{top}}(\unicode[STIX]{x1D719}\restriction _{H})+h_{\text{top}}(\bar{\unicode[STIX]{x1D719}}),\end{eqnarray}$$ where $\bar{\unicode[STIX]{x1D719}}:G/H\rightarrow G/H$ is the map induced by $\unicode[STIX]{x1D719}$. We concentrate on the case when $G$ is totally disconnected locally compact and $H$ is either compact or normal. Under these hypotheses, we show that the above additivity property holds true whenever $\unicode[STIX]{x1D719}H=H$ and $\ker (\unicode[STIX]{x1D719})\leq H$. As an application, we give a dynamical interpretation of the scale $s(\unicode[STIX]{x1D719})$ by showing that $\log s(\unicode[STIX]{x1D719})$ is the topological entropy of a suitable map induced by $\unicode[STIX]{x1D719}$. Finally, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the equality $\log s(\unicode[STIX]{x1D719})=h_{\text{top}}(\unicode[STIX]{x1D719})$ to hold.

The main objective of this paper is to provide complete characterization of multigenerator Gabor frames on a periodic set $\Omega$ in $K$. In particular, we provide some necessary and sufficient conditions for the multigenerator Gabor system to be a frame for $L^2(\Omega)$. Furthermore, we establish the complete characterizations of multigenerator Parseval Gabor frames.

Let X be a complex Banach space and L(X) be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on X. For a given elementary operator P of length 2 on L(X), we determine necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a solution of the equation YP=0 in the algebra of all elementary operators on L(X). Our approach allows us to characterize some invertible elementary operators of length 2 whose inverses are elementary operators.

AbstractWe give necessary and sufficient conditions of the Lp-well-posedness (resp. -wellposedness) for the second order degenerate differential equation with finite delayswith periodic boundary conditions (Mu)(0) = (Mu)(2π), (Mu)′ (0) = (Mu)′ (2π), where A, B, and M are closed linear operators on a complex Banach space X satisfying D(A) ∩ D(B) ⊂ D(M), F and G are bounded linear operators from into X.

A bounded linear operatorTon a Hilbert spaceℋ, satisfying‖T2h‖2+‖h‖2≥2‖Th‖2for everyh∈ℋ, is called a convex operator. In this paper, we give necessary and sufficient conditions under which a convex composition operator on a large class of weighted Hardy spaces is an isometry. Also, we discuss convexity of multiplication operators.

The paper introduces a general method to construct conformal measures for a local homeomorphism on a locally compact non-compact Hausdorff space, subject to mild irreducibility-like conditions. Among other things, the method is used to give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of eigenmeasures for the dual Ruelle operator associated to a locally compact non-compact irreducible Markov shift equipped with a uniformly continuous potential function. As an application to operator algebras the results are used to determine for which ${\it\beta}$ there are gauge invariant ${\it\beta}$-KMS weights on a simple graph $C^{\ast }$-algebra when the one-parameter automorphism group is given by a uniformly continuous real-valued function on the path space of the graph.

In this note, we mainly study the necessary and sufficient conditions for the complete positivity of generalizations of depolarizing and transpose-depolarizing channels. Specifically, we define [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text] (the set of all bounded linear operators on the finite-dimensional Hilbert space [Formula: see text] is given and [Formula: see text] is the transpose of [Formula: see text] in a fixed orthonormal basis of [Formula: see text] First, we show that [Formula: see text] is completely positive if and only if [Formula: see text] is a positive map, which is equivalent to [Formula: see text] Moreover, [Formula: see text] is a completely positive map if and only if [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] At last, we also get that [Formula: see text] is a completely positive map if and only if [Formula: see text] with [Formula: see text] for all [Formula: see text] where [Formula: see text] are eigenvalues of [Formula: see text].

Deny introduced in [4] the notion of functional spaces by generalizing Dirichlet spaces. In this paper, we shall give the following necessary and sufficient conditions for a functional space to be a real Dirichlet space.Let be a regular functional space with respect to a locally compact Hausdorff space X and a positive measure ξ in X. The following four conditions are equivalent.

AbstractSuppose that $G$ is a second countable, locally compact Hausdorff groupoid with abelian stabiliser subgroups and a Haar system. We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the groupoid ${C}^{\ast } $-algebra to have Hausdorff spectrum. In particular, we show that the spectrum of ${C}^{\ast } (G)$ is Hausdorff if and only if the stabilisers vary continuously with respect to the Fell topology, the orbit space ${G}^{(0)} / G$ is Hausdorff, and, given convergent sequences ${\chi }_{i} \rightarrow \chi $ and ${\gamma }_{i} \cdot {\chi }_{i} \rightarrow \omega $ in the dual stabiliser groupoid $\widehat{S}$ where the ${\gamma }_{i} \in G$ act via conjugation, if $\chi $ and $\omega $ are elements of the same fibre then $\chi = \omega $.
