With respect to group decision making (GDM) problem with uncertain additive linguistic preference relations (UALPRs), we investigate the efficient aggregation of the uncertain additive linguistic preference information. First, we introduce two measures to assess the consistency level and the consensus level of uncertain additive linguistic preference information, respectively, and study some of their desirable properties. Then, based on both the two measures, we propose a coinduced uncertain linguistic ordered weighted averaging (IULOWA) operator, called the consistency and consensus coinduced uncertain linguistic ordered weighted averaging (C2-IULOWA) operator, to aggregate individual uncertain additive linguistic preference information, in which the consistency level and the consensus level synergistically serve as inducing variables and then guide the determination of the associated weights. We have proved the collective uncertain linguistic preference information aggregated by the C2-IULOWA operator that can maintain the fundamental properties of preference relation, such as indifference, reciprocity, and transitivity. By using the C2-IULOWA operator, we develop a direct GDM approach with UALPRs. Finally, an illustrative example on the selection of chief quality officer is used to demonstrate the effectiveness and rationalitly of the developed approach.

In this paper, we define two types of linguistic preference relations (multiplicative linguistic preference relation and additive linguistic preference relation), and study some of their desirable properties. We introduce the extended geometric mean (EGM) operator, extended arithmetical averaging (EAA) operator, extended ordered weighted averaging (EOWA) operator and extended ordered weighted geometric (EOWG) operator. An approach based on the EGM and EOWG operators and multiplicative linguistic preference relations and an approach based on the EAA and EOWA operators and additive linguistic preference relations are proposed to ranking the alternatives in the group decision-making problems. Finally, we give a numerical example to illustrate the developed approaches.

This paper aims to propose an innovative approach to group decision making (GDM) with interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy (IVIF) preference relations (IVIFPRs). First, an IVIFPR is proposed based on the additive consistency of an interval-valued fuzzy preference relation (IVFPR). Then, two mathematical or adjusted programming models are established to extract two special consistent IVFPRs. In order to derive the priority weight of an IVIFPR, after taking the two special IVFPRs into consideration, a linear optimization model is constructed by minimizing the deviations between individual judgments and between the width degrees of the interval priority weights. For GDM with IVIFPRs, the decision makers’ weights are generated by combining the adjusted subjective weights with the objective weights. Subsequently, using an IVIF-weighted averaging operator, the collective IVIFPR is obtained and utilized to derive the IVIF priority weights. Finally, a practical example of a supplier selection is analyzed to demonstrate the application of the proposed method.

We develop some new cases of the induced continuous ordered weighted averaging (ICOWA) operator and study their desirable properties, which are very suitable to deal with group decision making (GDM) with interval fuzzy preference relations. First, we present the consensus indicator ICOWA (CI-ICOWA) operator which uses the consensus indicator of the interval fuzzy preference as the order inducing variable in the ICOWA operator. Then the concept of compatibility degree (CD) for two interval fuzzy preference relations is defined based on the continuous ordered weighted averaging (COWA) operator and the compatibility degree ICOWA (CD-ICOWA) operator is proposed which uses the CD as the order inducing variable in the ICOWA operator. Next, we investigate some desirable properties of the CD-ICOWA operator. Additionally, we construct an optimization model to obtain the weights of experts by minimizing the compatibility degree in the GDM. Finally, an illustrative numerical example is used to verify the developed approaches.

The aim of this paper is to develop a new methodology for solving group decision making problems in which preference comparisons between alternatives are expressed with Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) preference relations. In this methodology, the generalized ordered weighted averaging (GOWA) operator is extended to develop the Atanassov's IF set (IFS) generalized ordered weighted averaging (IFSGOWA) operator, which can aggregate vague or imprecise information expressed with the Atanassov's IFSs. The Atanassov's IFSGOWA operator based methodology is further developed to solve group decision making problems with Atanassov's IF preference relations. A real example of the agroecological region assessment problem is used to illustrate the implementation and applicability of the proposed methodology. It is also shown that the obtained decision results could be affected by the choice of the parameter lambda and the nature of the weights.

Faced with complex decision problems, Distribution linguistic preference relation (DLPR) is an effective way for decision-makers (DMs) to express preference information. However, due to the complexity of the decision-making environment, DMs may not be able to provide complete linguistic distribution for all linguistic terms in DLPRs, which results in incomplete DLPRs. Therefore, in order to solve group decision-making (GDM) with incomplete DLPRs, this paper proposes expected consistency-based model and multiplicative DEA cross-efficiency. For a given incomplete DLPRs, we first propose an optimization model to obtain complete DLPR. This optimization model can evaluate the missing linguistic distribution and ensure that the obtained DLPR has a high consistency level. And then, we develop a transformation function that can transform DLPRs into multiplicative preference relations (MPRs). Furthermore, we design an improved multiplicative DEA model to obtain the priority vector of MPR for ranking all alternatives. Finally, a numerical example is provided to show the rationality and applicability of the proposed GDM method.

In this paper, triangular cubic hesitant fuzzy Einstein weighted averaging (TCHFEWA) operator, triangular cubic hesitant fuzzy Einstein ordered weighted averaging (TCHFEOWA) operator and triangular cubic hesitant fuzzy Einstein hybrid weighted averaging (TCHFEHWA) operator are proposed. An approach to multiple attribute group decision making with linguistic information is developed based on the TCHFEWA and the TCHFEHWA operators. Furthermore, we establish various properties of these operators and derive the relationship between the proposed operators and the existing aggregation operators. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the application of the established approach.

Abstract This paper proposes a group decision making method based on entropy of neutrosophic linguistic sets and generalized single valued neutrosophic linguistic operators. This method is applied to solve the multiple attribute group decision making problems under single valued neutrosophic liguistic environment, in which the attribute weights are completely unknown. First, the attribute weights are obtained by using the entropy of neutrosophic linguistic sets. Then three generalized single valued neutrosophic linguistic operators are introduced, including the generalized single valued neutrosophic linguistic weighted averaging (GSVNLWA) operator, the generalized single valued neutrosophic linguistic ordered weighted averaging (GSVNLOWA) operator and the generalized single valued neutrosophic linguistic hybrid averaging (GSVNLHA) operator, and the GSVNLWA and GSVNLHA operators are used to aggregate information. Furthermore, similarity measure based on single valued neutrosophic linguistic numbers is defined and used to sort the alternatives and obtain the best alternative. Finally, an illustrative example is given to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the developed method.

Group decision making with intuitionistic fuzzy preference information contains two key issues: acceptability measurement and priority weight determination. In this paper, we investigate the above two issues with respect to multiplicative interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy preference relation (IVIFPR). Firstly, a consistency index is defined to measure the multiplicative consistency degree of IVIFPR and an optimization model is established to improve the consistency degree of IVIFPR to an acceptable one. Next, in terms of priority weight determination, an error-analysis-based extension method is proposed to obtain priority weight vector from the acceptable IVIFPR. For GDM problems, decision makers’ weights are derived by the proposed multiplicative consistency index. Subsequently, the collective IVIFPR is obtained by using an interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy (IVIF) weighted averaging operator. Finally, a step-by step algorithm for GDM with IVIFPRs is given, and an example of enterprise innovation partner selection is analyzed, and comparative analyses with existing approaches are performed to demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is both effective and practical in dealing with GDM problems.
