The corrosion behavior of coated and uncoated Ni/Cu/Ni rare earth magnets was assessed at increasing steps with a multilayering silanization procedure. Magnets’ durability was analyzed in Fusayama synthetic saliva solution in order to evaluate their application in dental field. Corrosion performance was evaluated by using polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in synthetic saliva solution up to 72 hours of continuous immersion. The results show that the addition of silane layers significantly improved anticorrosion properties. The coating and aging effects, in synthetic saliva solution, on magnetic field were evaluated by means of cyclic force-displacement curves.

Effects of aging and cyclically varying temperature on the electrical parameters of dye solar cells were analyzed with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Photoelectrode total resistance increased as a function of time due to increasing electron transport resistance in theTiO2film. On the other hand, photoelectrode recombination resistance was generally larger, electron lifetimes in theTiO2were film longer, and charge transfer resistance on the counter electrode was smaller after the temperature treatments than before them. These effects correlated with the slower deterioration rate of the temperature-treated cells, in comparison to the reference cells.

The purpose of this paper was to investigate the effect of Al2O3 and TiO2 nanoparticles contents on structural proporties, microhardness and corrosion resistance of Zn-Ni alloy coationg. Zn-Ni, Zn-Ni-Al2O3 and Zn-Ni-TiO2 composite coatings were electrodeposited on steel substrate by direct current in sulphate bath. The structure of the coatings was studied by X-ray diffration and by scaning electron miroscopy. The results showed the appearance of Ni5Zn21 phases and that the incrorporation of Al2O3 and TiO2 in the Zn-Ni coating refined the crystal grain size. The corrosion performance of coating in the 0.6M NaCl as a corrisive solution was investigated by potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy EIS methods. It was found that the incorporation of nanoparticules in Zn-Ni alloy coating have better corrosion resistance and the values of Rct and Zw increase, while the values of Cdl decrease with increasing of nanoparticules.

The paper is an electrochemical study regarding the influence of different acid etching conditions on the corrosion behaviour of a new Ti based bioalloy with Nb, Ta and Zr. Open circuit, potentiodynamic and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were the methods performed in a simulated body fluid (SBF) and a stability mechanism was discussed in terms of equivalent circuits.
