The notion of multifuzzy sets (MFSs) or multi-interval-valued fuzzy sets (MIVFSs) provides a new method to represent some problems with a sequence of the different and/or same fuzzy/interval-valued fuzzy membership values of an element to the set. Then, a fuzzy cubic set (FCS) consists of a certain part (a fuzzy value) and an uncertain part (an interval-valued fuzzy value) but cannot represent hybrid information of both MFS and MIVFS. To adequately depict the opinion of several experts/decision-makers by using a union/sequence of the different and/or same fuzzy cubic values for an object assessed in group decision-making (GDM) problems, this paper proposes a multifuzzy cubic set (MFCS) notion as the conceptual extension of FCS to express the hybrid information of both MFS and MIVFS in the fuzzy setting of both uncertainty and certainty. Then, we propose three correlation coefficients of MFCSs and then introduce correlation coefficients of MFSs and MIVFSs as special cases of the three correlation coefficients of MFCSs. Further, the multicriteria GDM methods using three weighted correlation coefficients of MFCSs are developed under the environment of MFCSs, which contains the MFS and MIVFS GDM methods. Lastly, these multicriteria GDM methods are applied in an illustrative example on the selection problem of equipment suppliers; then their decision results and comparative analysis indicate that the developed GDM methods are more practicable and effective and reflect that either different correlation coefficients or different information expressions can also impact on the ranking of alternatives. Therefore, this study indicates the main contribution of the multifuzzy cubic information expression, correlation coefficients, and GDM methods in the multifuzzy setting of both uncertainty and certainty.

An effective decision making approach based on VIKOR and Choquet integral is developed to solve multicriteria group decision making problem with conflicting criteria and interdependent subjective preference of decision makers in a fuzzy environment where preferences of decision makers with respect to criteria are represented by interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets. First, an interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy Choquet integral operator is given. Some of its properties are investigated in detail. The extended VIKOR decision procedure based on the proposed operator is developed for solving the multicriteria group decision making problem where the interactive criteria weight is measured by Shapley value. An illustrative example is given for demonstrating the applicability of the proposed decision procedure for solving the multi-criteria group decision making problem in interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy environment.

AbstractAlthough a single-valued neutrosophic multi-valued set (SVNMVS) can reasonably and perfectly express group evaluation information and make up for the flaw of multi-valued/hesitant neutrosophic sets in group decision-making problems, its information expression and group decision-making methods still lack the ability to express and process single- and interval-valued hybrid neutrosophic multi-valued information. To overcome the drawbacks, this study needs to propose single- and interval-valued hybrid neutrosophic multi-valued sets (SIVHNMVSs), correlation coefficients of consistency interval-valued neutrosophic sets (CIVNSs), and their multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) method in the setting of SIVHNMVSs. First, we propose SIVHNMVSs and a transformation method for converting SIVHNMVSs into CIVNSs based on the mean and consistency degree (the complement of standard deviation) of truth, falsity and indeterminacy sequences. Then, we present two correlation coefficients between CIVNSs based on the multiplication of both the correlation coefficient of interval-valued neutrosophic sets and the correlation coefficient of neutrosophic consistency sets and two weighted correlation coefficients of CIVNSs. Next, a MAGDM method is developed based on the proposed two weighted correlation coefficients of CIVNSs for performing MAGDM problems under the environment of SIVHNMVSs. At last, a selection case of landslide treatment schemes demonstrates the application of the proposed MAGDM method under the environment of SIVHNMVSs. By comparative analysis, our new method not only overcomes the drawbacks of the existing method, but also is more extensive and more useful than the existing method when tackling MAGDM problems in the setting of SIVHNMVSs.

In this paper, we focus on new methods to deal with multiple attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problems and a new comparison law of interval-valued dual hesitant fuzzy elements (IVDHFEs). More explicitly, the interval-valued dual hesitant fuzzy 2nd-order central polymerization degree (IVDHFCP2) function is introduced, for the case that score values of different IVDHFEs are identical. This function can further compare different IVDHFEs. Then, we develop a series of interval-valued dual hesitant fuzzy power Heronian aggregation operators, i.e., the interval-valued dual hesitant fuzzy power Heronian mean (IVDHFPHM) operator, the interval-valued dual hesitant fuzzy power geometric Heronian mean (IVDHFPGHM) operator, and their weighted forms. Some desirable properties and their special cases are discussed. These proposed operators can simultaneously reflect the interrelationship of aggregated arguments and reduce the influence of unreasonable evaluation values. Finally, two approaches for interval-valued dual hesitant fuzzy MAGDM with known or unknown weight information are presented. An illustrative example and comparative studies are given to verify the advantages of our methods. A sensitivity analysis of the decision results is analyzed with different parameters.

Abstract In this paper, we introduce the notion of Einstein aggregation operators, such as the interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy Einstein weighted averaging aggregation operator and the interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy Einstein ordered weighted averaging aggregation operator. We also discuss some desirable properties, such as idempotency, boundedness, commutativity, and monotonicity. The main advantage of using the proposed operators is that these operators give a more complete view of the problem to the decision makers. These operators provide more accurate and precise results as compared the existing method. Finally, we apply these operators to deal with multiple-attribute group decision making under interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy information. For this, we construct an algorithm for multiple-attribute group decision making. Lastly, we also construct a numerical example for multiple-attribute group decision making.

Two induced aggregation operators with novelly designed TOPSIS order-inducing variables are proposed: Induced Interval-valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy Hybrid Averaging (I-IIFHA) operator and Induced Interval-valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy Hybrid Geometric (I-IIFHG) operator. The merit of two aggregation operators is that they can consider additional preference information of decision maker’s attitudinal characteristics besides argument-dependent information and argument-independent information. Some desirable properties of I-IIFHA and I-IIFHG are studied and theoretical analysis also shows that they can include a wide range of aggregation operators as special cases. Further, we extend these operators to form a novel group decision-making method for selecting the most desirable alternative in multiple attribute multi-interest group decision-making problems with attribute values and decision maker’s interest values taking the form of interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers, and application research to real estate purchase selection shows its practicality.

Developing aggregation operators for interval-valued hesitant fuzzy sets (IVHFSs) is a technological task we are faced with, because they are specifically important in many problems related to the fusion of interval-valued hesitant fuzzy information. This paper develops several novel kinds of power geometric operators, which are referred to as variable power geometric operators, and extends them to interval-valued hesitant fuzzy environments. A series of generalized interval-valued hesitant fuzzy power geometric (GIVHFG) operators are also proposed to aggregate the IVHFSs to model mandatory requirements. One of the important characteristics of these operators is that objective weights of input arguments are variable with the change of a non-negative parameter. By adjusting the exact value of the parameter, the influence caused by some “false” or “biased” arguments can be reduced. We demonstrate some desirable and useful properties of the proposed aggregation operators and utilize them to develop techniques for multiple criteria group decision making with IVHFSs considering the heterogeneous opinions among individual decision makers. Furthermore, we propose an entropy weights-based fitting approach for objectively obtaining the appropriate value of the parameter. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.

This paper aims to propose a novel multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) method based on interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets (IVq-ROFSs). The IVq-ROFSs have been proved to be effective in handling MAGDM problems, and several novel decision-making methods have been proposed. Nevertheless, it is worth pointing out that these approaches still have some limitations, and there still exist some realistic situations that cannot be solved by existing MAGDM methods. Hence, the objective of this paper is to introduce a novel MAGDM method, which can overcome some of the drawbacks of existing approaches. To effectively and appropriately aggregate interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy numbers (IVq-ROFNs), we combine the power average with generalized Maclaurin symmetric mean (GMSM), propose the power GMSM operator and extend it into IVq-ROFSs. Afterwards, a collection of new aggregation operators for IVq-ROFNs are developed. In this paper, we study definitions of these operators and investigate their characteristics as well as special cases. Then, based on the new aggregation operators, we present a new MAGDM method. Finally, we apply the proposed MAGDM method in online education platform performance evaluation to illustrate its effectiveness and validity. In addition, we also provide comparative analysis to explain why decision-makers should use our method instead of the others.

q-Rung orthopair fuzzy number (qROFN) is a flexible and superior fuzzy information description tool which can provide stronger expressiveness than intuitionistic fuzzy number and Pythagorean fuzzy number. Muirhead mean (MM) operator and its dual form geometric MM (GMM) operator are two all-in-one aggregation operators for capturing the interrelationships of the aggregated arguments because they are applicable in the cases in which all arguments are independent of each other, there are interrelationships between any two arguments, and there are interrelationships among any three or more arguments. Archimedean T-norm and T-conorm (ATT) are superior operations that can generate general and versatile operational rules to aggregate arguments. To take advantage of qROFN, MM operator, GMM operator, and ATT in multicriteria group decision making (MCGDM), an Archimedean MM operator, a weighted Archimedean MM operator, an Archimedean GMM operator, and a weighted Archimedean GMM operator for aggregating qROFNs are presented to solve the MCGDM problems based on qROFNs in this paper. The properties of these operators are explored and their specific cases are discussed. On the basis of the presented operators, a method for solving the MCGDM problems based on qROFNs is proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated via a numerical example, a set of experiments, and qualitative and quantitative comparisons. The demonstration results suggest that the proposed method has satisfying generality and flexibility at aggregating q-rung orthopair fuzzy information and capturing the interrelationships of criteria and the attitudes of decision makers and is feasible and effective for solving the MCGDM problems based on qROFNs.
