✓ Chronic pain due to peripheral vascular insufficiency was relieved by epidural spinal cord stimulation (SCS) in an arteriosclerotic patient. Concomitant healing of trophic ulcers was observed. Hemodynamic studies showed an increase of peripheral blood flow following SCS. The therapeutic effect is still present after 14 months of stimulation.
