AbstractKesselimyia chandleri n.gen., n.sp. is described from material collected in southern Moravia (Havraníky near Znojmo, Czechoslovakia). The larvae and puparia were found in a rotting mushroom of Lepiota sp., 2♂ and 17 ♀ emerged under laboratory conditions. The description of the new species was based mainly on the structure of the male genitalia. Figures of the most important diagnostic characters of the male, female and larvae are provided.

Four new species of Euphyllodromia Shelford, 1908 (E. spathulata, E. nigromaculata, E. neoelegans and E. spiculata) are described. Their male genitalia are illustrated. The female genitalia of E. spiculata and E. nigromaculata are also illustrated. Diagnostic characters of the head, thorax and abdomen of E. amazonensis Rocha e Silva, 1984 are reiterated, illustrated and combined with the description of the male and female genitalia for the first time. A key is provided to include the species treated here.

Oblongiala zimbabwensis Liu & Cai gen. & sp. nov. is described from Zimbabwe and placed in the subfamily Peiratinae (Hemiptera: Reduviidae). Habitus, male genitalia and some diagnostic characters of the new species are illustrated. The affinities of the new genus are discussed with a key provided to help distinguish peiratine genera distributed in the Afrotropical Region.

Papagona Ball, 1935 was originally described based on two species from the USA (Arizona). Both species of Papagona (P. papoosa Ball, 1935, type species of genus, and P. succinea Ball, 1935) are redescribed herein based on type specimens, including their previously unknown internal male genitalia. A new species from Brazil (Roraima) is described herein including the male and female terminalia. A taxonomic key to all included species is provided and additional diagnostic characters for this genus are proposed.

Xiphocentron is the most species-rich genus of the pantropical family Xiphocentronidae. Among its five subgenera, Antillotrichia is the most diverse and the only one to occur in South America and Antilles. In the present study, two new species of Xiphocentron (Antillotrichia) are described from southern Atlantic Forest, Brazil. Xiphocentron gwarakeraba sp. nov. is diagnosed by the very elongate inferior appendage not bearing spines and with a simple mesal sclerite; X. muelleri sp. nov. is diagnosed by the inferior appendage with its ventral margin produced posterad and distinctly truncate. New distributional records are provided for X. acqualume, X. jaguare, X. kamakan, and X. maracanan. Additional non-genital diagnostic characters are presented for X. jaguare, and intraspecific morphological variations of forewing fork II (R3 and R4) and male genitalia are described for X. maracanan.

Four new species in the genus Desmopachria Babington are described from Madre de Dios, Peru: D. pilosa Miller, n. sp. (D. convexa species group), D. balionota Miller, n. sp. (D. nitida species group), D. annae Miller, n. sp. (D. nitida species group), and D. tambopatensis Miller, n. sp. (ungrouped). Diagnostic characters, including habiti and male genitalia, are described and illustrated.

A new species of the genus Hydaticus Leach, 1817, subgenus Prodaticus Sharp, 1882 (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae) has been discovered in the mountains of Cerros del Sira, Peru. It is here described as Hydaticus (Prodaticus) hauthi sp. nov.. It is morphologically similar to the Peruvian H. panguana Megna, Balke, Apenborn & Hendrich, 2019. The new species differs from H. panguana by its almost complete black dorsal surface and the shape of the median lobe. Diagnostic characters of both species, including illustrations of male genitalia and habitus, are presented, and a modified key for the 12 Neotropical species is provided.

Three new species, Platyderus casalei new species (type locality: Santa Eufemia, Calabria Region), Platyderus paganettii new species (type locality: Santa Eufemia, Calabria Region) and Platyderus vignai new species (type locality: Gargano Mountain, Apulia Region) are described. The diagnostic characters of the new taxa are defined and figures of the male genitalia are depicted. The synonymy of Platyderus neapolitanus (Reiche, 1855) and Platyderus canaliculatus jannonei Binaghi, 1955 is confirmed. Platyderus dalmatinus is treated as doubtful for the fauna of Italy. A key of the five Italian species of Platyderus from the South Apennines is included.

Two new species of the genus Geocharis Ehlers, 1883 (Carabidae: Trechinae, Anillini) are described (Geocharis barcorabelo n. sp. and Geocharis antheroi n. sp.) from the northern region of Portugal (Iberian Peninsula). This work provides diagnostic characters for these species and, in particular, for the structure of male genitalia. The affinities with other known species namely their putative closest relatives, as well as ecological and biogeographical comments are also included. A key for the identification of the males of the Geocharis species found north of the Tejo River in Portugal is also provided. New chorologist data on other endogean carabids from Portugal are also included.

A new genus of Neotropical Lycidae, Currhaeus gen. nov., is herein proposed as the second Eurrhacini genus lacking parameres in male genitalia. Seven new species are described: Currhaeus striatus sp. nov., C. nigroapicalis sp. nov., C. championi sp. nov., C. tabascensis sp. nov., C. ruschii sp. nov., C. polegattoi sp. nov., and C. paranaensis sp. nov. Illustrations of diagnostic characters and a key to species identification are presented. Parsimony and maximum likelihood analyses of morphological data demonstrated that Currhaeus gen. nov. belongs in the crown Eurrhacini. Implied weighting parsimony trees recovered Currhaeus as sister to Eurrhacus Waterhouse.
