CONTEXT: Tuberculosis of the prostate has mainly been described in immunocompromised patients. However, it can exceptionally be found as an isolated lesion in immunocompetent patients. CASE REPORT: We report a case of prostatic tuberculosis in a young, healthy and immunocompetent patient with unremarkable findings from intravenous urographic examination. Computed tomography showed an abscess in the prostate and Mycobacterium tuberculosis was isolated in a urine culture. Treatment with isoniazid, rifampin and pyrazinamide was successful.

: Tuberculosis considered as a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, may invade all organs but mainly affects the lungs [1].In overall, disseminated TB is rare in immunocompetent patients and its association with seborrheic keratosis has never been reported. We reported a54-year-old man with a complaint prolonged fever, abdominal pain, weight loss and lymphadenopathy without any immunosuppression who was eventually treated based on the diagnosis of diffuse tuberculosis.

Verrucous psoriasis is a rare variant of plaque-type psoriasis with only about 35 cases reported. The authors reported a man with a history of psoriasis vulgaris for seven years, presented with progressive verrucous hyperkeratotic plaques on both legs for three years. His earlier investigations favored the diagnosis of tuberculosis verrucosa cutis. After completing the antituberculous therapy, the lesions persisted. The later investigations favored a rare subtype of psoriasis named verrucous psoriasis. Keywords: Verrucous psoriasis, Tuberculosis verrucosa cutis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Ixekixumab

Introduction Raltitrexed is a folate analogue, which selectively inhibits thymidylate synthase, used in the treatment of colorectal carcinoma. Common side effects include asthenia and gastrointestinal and haematological toxicities. Case report We present the case of a 74-year-old gentleman with incidental mild interstitial lung disease on preoperative staging CT Chest who developed acute breathlessness whilst undergoing adjuvant raltitrexed treatment for a completely excised colorectal adenocarcinoma. Management and outcome Discontinuation of raltitrexed and a course of steroid therapy resulted in resolution of symptoms, mirrored by an improvement in lung function tests. Discussion The clinical pattern of rapid progression with steroid response highlights the potential for significant acceleration of interstitial lung disease by raltitrexed.
