The hitherto unknown worker caste of Anomalomyrma Taylor, 1990 is described for the first time. Two new species, Anomalomyrma boltoni n. sp. from Cameron Highlands, Peninsular Malaysia and Anomalomyrma helenae n. sp. from El Nido region of Palawan, Philippines, are described. In workers of both new species abdominal segments II and III (petiole and postpetiole) are rigidly fused together across both tergites and sternites. This is the first report of such fused abdominal morphology in worker Formicidae. Both new species lack a vertical lamella on the mandible, originally considered to be diagnostic for the genus and the main character separating Anomalomyrma from Protanilla Taylor, 1990. Modified generic diagnoses are proposed for both Anomalomyrma and Protanilla. Wing venation is described for the first time from an anomalomyrmine alate gyne, and prospects for the future of the nomenclature of the group's genera are discussed. A modified key to the genera of Leptanillinae is given along with a short note on the correct authorship of some leptanilline names.

The genera Abaria Mosely 1948 and Drepanocentron Schmid 1982 are recorded in China for the first time. In this study, two new species, Abaria herringbona sp. nov., from Guang-xi, and Drepanocentron fuxiensis sp. nov., from An-hui, are described and illustrated. Male genitalia of these two new species is distinguishable from those of other Abaria and Drepanocentron species. In addition, Melanotrichia attia Malicky & Chantaramongkol 1992 is a new record for the Chinese caddisfly fauna.

First records of peracarid crustaceans obtained from the Cayo Matías Ocean Blue Hole, southwestern Cuba, aredocumented. In addition, two new species of isopod and amphipod are herein described. Gnathia micheli n. sp. (Isopoda,Gnathiidae) and Boca normae n. sp. (Amphipoda, Aristiidae) were associated with filamentous algae at a depth of 20 m.Both represent the first report for a blue hole and the amphipod constitutes the first record of the genus for Cuba and theCaribbean Sea. Three other isopods, i.e. Gnathostenetroides sp., Cirolana parva, and Cirolana crenulitelson, and the cumacean Procampylaspis sp. are documented for the first time from the same blue hole.

The genus Brachygaster Leach (Hymenoptera: Evaniidae) is reported from India for the first time and two new species, B. rarum sp. nov. and B. kawadai sp. nov., are described from Maharashtra and Jharkhand. The new species are compared with oriental species viz., B. tschekylli Madl and B. conjugens Enderlein.

Six Japanese species of the genus Lecithocera Herrich-Schäffer, 1853 (Gelechioidea: Lecithoceridae) are treated: L. chersitis Meyrick, 1918; L. daebuensis Park & Lee, 1999; L. duplicata (Gozmány, 1978); L. tridentata Wu & Liu, 1993; L. fascimaculata sp. nov.; and L. fuscialaris sp. nov.. One species, L. duplicata (Gozmány, 1978), is reported for the first time from Japan. The male and female genitalia, wing venation, and adult appearance are illustrated for all the species.

Two new species of Gisilia Kasy, 1968, G. melanobasis n. sp. and G. tamrae n. sp., are described from Korea. Ascalenia thoracista (Meyrick, 1915) is transferred to Gisilia and compared to two Korean congeners. External and genital features of two new species and G. thoracista are illustrated. Piercing oviscapts are reported from Gelechioidea for the first time. The occurrences of oviscapts in Lepidoptera are reviewed.

Twelve species of the polyplacophoran genera Notoplax, Leptoplax, Acanthochitona and Cryptoplax (Chitonida: Acanthochitonina: Cryptoplacoidea) were found in Vietnamese waters for the first time. Five of them, namely Notoplax conica, Leptoplax doederleini, Leptoplax richardi n. comb., Acanthochitona achates and A. biformis, are new to Vietnamese fauna. The remaining seven species are new to science, namely: Notoplax odysseyi n. sp., Leptoplax nhatrangi n. sp., L. tongkingi n. sp., Acanthochitona condaoi n. sp., A. lanae n. sp., A. nigra n. sp. and A.ostreaphila n. sp. Leptoplax richardi n. comb. was transferred from the original genus Notoplax based on the redefinition of the genus given herein. We confirmed the occurrences of 21 species of the superfamily Cryptoplacoidea in the Vietnamese fauna, which makes them the richest group of chitons in Vietnamese waters. A peculiar feature, a comb-like blade in the major uncinal teeth of the radula is found in two new species, L. tongkingi n. sp. and A. ostreaphila n. sp. A similar feature is known only in two other distinct groups: the genus Ferreiraella of the family Ferreiraellidae of the order Lepidopleurida and the genera Tonicella and Boreochiton of the family Tonicellidae of the order Chitonida. This is the first report of this feature other than those two groups.

The Amphicnemis species occurring in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore are reviewed, and two new species are described: A. bebar and A. hoisen (holotype for both: Malaysia, Pahang, Sungai Bebar). Keys to both sexes of all species are provided. A. ecornuta is recorded from Borneo for the first time. A summary of the distributions of the named species of Amphicnemis occurring in Sundaland is given. Four species of Amphicnemis are now known from Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and twelve from Borneo.

Two new species of genus Hydromanicus Brauer 1865 are described and illustrated: Hydromanicus religiosus sp. nov. and Hydromanicus sikkimensis sp. nov. (both from Sikkim). Potamyia phaidra Malicky & Chantaramongkol 1997 (from Meghalaya) and Cheumatopsyche chrysothemis Malicky & Chantaramongkol 1997 and Hydromanicus inferior Chantaramongkol & Malicky 1995 (both from West Bengal) are also reported for the first time from India. Further, the species Potamyia trenhona Oláh & Barnard 2006 (in Oláh et al. 2006) is considered a synonym of P. phaidra based on the similarity in wing venation, male genitalic appendages, and phallic structure.

Two new species of the ant genus Myrmecina Curtis, 1829, M. bawai sp. nov. and M. reticulata sp. nov., are described and illustrated based on the worker caste from Mizoram, Northeast India. The genus is reported for the first time from Mizoram, the Indian state with the highest percentage of forest cover. A key to the Indian fauna of Myrmecina is also provided based on the worker caste.
