The genus Disparia Nagano, 1916 contains 15 species from the Palaearctic which are best separated by male genitalia (see Schintlmeister, 2008). Disparia are distributed throughout Southeast Asia, especially China (Kobayashi, Kishida & Wang, 2003, 2005; Schintlmeister & Fang 2001; Schintlmeister 2007, 2008; Wu & Fang 2003). A. Floriani collected an unknown Disparia in April 2011 at light in Sichuan Province, China, and we describe it herein as new.

Over 30 species of the genus Bireta (Schintlmeister, 2008) are known from the Palearctic and neighbouring regions of Southeast Asia. Individual species of this genus are externally similar, but can be separated by characters of the male genitalia. Bireta are mostly distributed throughout Southeast Asia, especially China (Kiriakoff, 1962; Kobayashi & Kishida, 2004; Kobayashi, Kishida & Min, 2008; Schintlmeister & Fang, 2001) and Thailand (Schintlmeister, 2007). In Sichuan Province, China in the spring of 2010, the senior author collected a series of Bireta specimens which belongs to a new species, which is described below (acronyms for personal and institutional collections: AFM—Alessandro Floriani [Milan, Italy]; ASV—Aidas Saldaitis [Vilnius, Lithuania]; MWM/ZSM—Museum Thomas Witt [Munich, Germany]/Zoologische Staatssammlung, München [Germany]; NRCV—Nature Research Centre [Vilnius, Lithuania]; PMM—Pavel Morozov [Moscow, Russia]).

Platambus binliui sp. nov. from Sichuan Province, China, is described and illustrated. It belongs to the P. sawadai species group sensu Nilsson (2000). The new species differs from other species of this group by the larger body, punctation of the dorsal surface and shape of male genitalia. New records of members of the P. sawadai group from China are provided: Platambus micropunctatus Nilsson, 2003 (Guangdong), P. punctatipennis Brancucci, 1984 (Fujian, Guangdong, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Zhejiang), P. regulae Brancucci, 1991 (Yunnan), representing a new species for Chinese fauna, and P. wangi Brancucci, 2006 (Hubei). Habitus and median lobe photographs for all mentioned species are provided.

A new species of the genus Lemaireia Nässig & Holloway, 1988 (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae: Saturniinae: Saturniini), L. daparo sp. n., is described from evergreen broad-leaf forests in Panzhihua (Sichuan), Qujing (Yunnan) and Dali (Yunnan) of China. The new species resembles L. luteopeplus aureopeplus Nässig & Holloway, 1988 and L. hainana Nässig & Wang, 2006 from China, but can be easily separated from them by the male genitalia. In addition, the genus Lemaireia is reported here for the first time from Sichuan Province, and now its distribution range reached the northeastern extreme point. The habitus, diagnostic characters and distribution map of the three species of the genus Lemaireia from China are provided. A list of all Lemaireia species presently known worldwide is also given.

Meganola is a large and morphologically rather diverse genus, which is widely distributed on all continents, although it proved to be the most species rich in the mountains of Southeast Asia. In this article, the new species Meganola tibetensis was collected at Tibet and reminds externally Himalayan-Indochinese species Meganola mediofusca László, Ronkay & Witt, 2007. These two species have similar configuration of female genitalia concerning the spinulose signum, but their male genitalia are totally different. In male genitalia, harpe approximate trapezoid and aedeagus without cornuti in new species, while in M. mediofusca harpe claw-like and aedeagus armed with many spines. Adults and genitalia of both species are illustrated.

The genus Alienia Fibiger, 2011 of the tribe Micronoctuini of Hypenodinae is revised. Two new species: Alienia fibigeri sp.n. and Alienia cambodiaa sp.n. are described from Cambodia; a new species, Alienia laosa sp.n. from Laos described. A key for identification of Alienia based on male genitalia is present. The adult and genitalia of the new species are illustrated.

The Palaearctic species of the genus Trichardis Hermann, 1906 are reviewed. A new species, T. lehri sp. nov., is described. A new synonymy is established: T. leucocoma (van der Wulp, 1899) = T. afanasievae Lehr, 1964, syn. nov. The male of T. mongolica V. Richter, 1972 is described for the first time. External features and the male genitalia of T. lehri sp. nov., T. leucocoma (van der Wulp, 1899) and T. mongolica V. Richter, 1972 are illustrated with photographs.

Abstract Culex longitubus Somboon, Namgay & Harbach is described as a new species of the Mimeticus Subgroup of the subgenus Culex. The larva is most similar to the larva of Cx. tianpingensis Chen from China, but is distinguished by the length of the siphon and the anal papillae, the form of the comb scales and pecten spines, and the development of setae 7-P, 13-T, 1-X, and 4-X. The adults have wing markings and male genitalia similar to those of species of the Mimeticus Complex. Phylogenetic analysis of COI sequences revealed that the new species is closely related to Cx. murrelli Lien of the Mimulus Complex. The immature stages of the new species were found in stagnant pools and marshes at high altitudes in several districts of Bhutan.

The genus Rapisma McLachlan, 1866 (montane lacewings) is a rare and little known group of the family Ithonidae (Insecta: Neuroptera). There have been 21 described species of Rapisma, and all of them are distributed from East Asia, South Asia and Southeast Asia. Here I report a new species of Rapisma from northwestern Yunnan, China, namely Rapisma weixiense sp. nov. The new species belongs to a group of Rapisma species with very short antennae.
