The circumscription and morphological characterization of the deltocephaline tribe Acostemmini is revised based on dis-coveries of new and poorly known taxa from recent collections in Madagascar and from examination of the type speci-mens of Alocoelidia fulva Evans, Iturnoria insulana Evans, and Protonesis delegorguei Spinola. Alocoelidia Evans 1954,Caelidioides Signoret 1880, Iturnoria Evans 1954, and Protonesis Spinola 1850 were previously placed in Coelidiinaebut were later removed from the subfamily and until now have been unplaced to subfamily are placed here in Deltocepha-linae: Acostemmini, new placement. A new genus and species, Ikelibeloha cristata gen. n., sp. n., are described that havean unusually modified structure of the head and a large, crested pronotum. Molecular data (28S, Histone H3 genes) wereobtained for Ikelibeloha and Iturnoria, and analyzed with other members of Deltocephalinae. Results of the phylogeneticanalyses show strong support for the monophyletic clade ((Acostemma, Eryapus), (Ikelibeloha, Iturnoria)) and thus a re-lationship between previously described Acostemmini, Ikelibeloha, and Iturnoria has strong statistical support, and aclose relationship is inferred between these and the morphologically similar Alocoelidia, Caelidioides, and Protonesis. Two new species of Alocoelidia, A. maurae sp. n. and A. chasei sp. n. are described, and the genus is redescribed. Themale genitalia of Caelidioides tristis (Signoret), Iturnoria insulana, Alocoelidia fulva, and Acostemella rubra Evans areillustrated and described for the first time. The female genitalia of A. fulva, C. tristis and I. insulana are described and thefirst and second valvulae of C. tristis are illustrated. The habitus and face of Protonesis delegorguei are illustrated and thegenus is redescribed. The characters traditionally used to define Acostemmini are reviewed with notes on their known de-grees of variation, and characters that differentiate Acostemmini from the closely related tribe Stegelytrini are discussed. The type of Malagasiella minima Evans was also examined, and Malagasiella Evans, 1954 is considered a junior syn-onym of Doratulina Melichar, 1903 (Deltocephalinae: Stenometopiini), syn. n. giving the new combination Doratulina minima (Evans) comb. n.

The nine genera of the Afrotropical Ommatiinae are briefly reviewed and include a revised key to genera. A new genus and a species group are diagnosed and described. New genus: Longibeccus (type species, O. fuscovittatus Ricardo, 1900). New combinations: Transferred to Longibeccus from Ommatius, 1821: O. fuscovittatus Ricardo, 1900, and O. imperator Oldroyd, 1939. New status: subgenus Metommatius Hull, 1962, is elevated to generic level. New species group: neotenellus includes Ommatius coperitus n. sp., O. latus n. sp., O. neotenellus Bromley, O. polixus n. sp., and O. ultimus n. sp. from east Africa. The male of O. neotenellus is described for the first time. Only one species of Michotamia (M. coarctata Macquart, 1855), is confirmed from Madagascar. New synonymies: Afroestricus minutus (Bromley 1936)=Ommatius flavipes Loew, 1860; Michotamia cothurnata (Bigot, 1875)=Cophinopoda pulchripes (Bigot,1859). Illustrations of heads, antennae, wings, and terminalia of selected species and keys to the species of Longibeccus and the neotenellus group are provided. Distributions of the Afrotropical genera are briefly discussed.

AbstractThe taxonomy, phylogeny and zoogeography of the thirteen species of the subgenus Schoyenia known from the Holarctic region are reviewed. Four species are described as new: X. thula from northern U.S.S.R. and northern Canada; X. woodi from Yukon Territory, Canada; X. magadanensis from Chukotka, U.S.S.R., and X. fergusoni from Alaska. A new subspecies of X. lyngei. Xestia lyngeí aborigenea from Magadanskaya Oblast', is described. Three species and five generic names are placed in synonymy for the first time and seven new combinations are proposed. Two lectotypes are designated. Illustrations of adults and male genitalia, and range maps, are given for each species. Female genitalia of nine species are illustrated. The larvae of four species, X. intermedia (Konon.), X. aequaeva (Benj.), X. bryanti (Benj.) and X. lyngei (Reb.) are described and illustrated; the cremasters of the pupae are also described and illustrated.

A new species, Barsine pseudoradians Joshi, Singh & Volynkin sp. nov. is described from North East India (Mizoram, Assam and Meghalaya) and Nepal. The new species belongs to the Barsine prominens (Moore) species-group and is compared with B. radians (Moore, 1878), B. pluma Černy, 2009, B. syntypica Swinhoe, 1906 and B. maculifasciata (Hampson, 1894). Barsine callida (Fang, 1991) is reported for the first time from India. Its comparison with the related Barsine mesortha (Hampson, 1898) is given. Two new combinations are established: Barsine callida (Fang, 1991), comb. nov. and Barsine germana (Rothschild, 1913), comb. nov. Adults, male and female genitalia of all the reviewed species are illustrated.

A new genus Viperinus Park, gen. nov., belonging to Torodorinae (Lecithoceridae), is proposed, with descriptions of two new species, V. orbiosus Park & Koo sp. nov. from Kenya and V. pyknoistus Park & Koo, sp. nov. from Uganda. Furthermore, two new species of Protolychnis Meyrick, 1925, P. oculiella Park & Koo, sp. nov. and P. morogorensis Park & Koo, sp. nov., are described from Kenya and Tanzania, respectively. In addition, P. petiliella Park, 2020 is reported for the first time from Tanzania. The new genus, Viperinus is very similar to Protolychnis in the superficial characters, but it is separated from the latter by having unique characters in genitalia: a pair of processes arising from base of each valva in the male genitalia and a polygonal signal plate in the female genitalia. Images of adults and genitalia of the four new species are provided, and a checklist of Protolychnis Meyrick is also given.

AbstractThe 11 genera of Nearctic Braconini are keyed: two of them, Myosoma Brullé with a wide pantropical range and Alienoclypeus Shenefelt, new genus, are found chiefly in the Chihuahuan desert and shrub fauna of northern Mexico and the southwestern U.S.A. and are recorded as Nearctic for the first time. Four new species are described in Myosoma: eumystax, impexum, longius, and durango. R. D. Shenefelt describes a new genus and species, Alienoclypeus insolitus. The genus Atanycolimorpha Viereck, 1913 is synonymized with Ipobracon Thomson, 1892. The genus Coeloides is revised for the Nearctic Region; 12 species are described and illustrated. Five of these are new: mexicanus, durangensis, sympitys, tsugatorus, and sonora. One species, C. rossicus (Kokujev), is Holarctic, a new subspecies, betulae, is described from Canada. The following are new synonyms: C. rufovariegatus (Provancher) = (dendroctoni Cushman), C. vancouverensis (Dalla Torre) = (brunneri Viereck), C. crocator (Kirby) = (promontorii Dalla Torre).
