A new genus Minigrapta gen. n. (type-species Xanthograpta basinigra Sugi, 1982) and new species Minigrapta minimoides sp. n. of the tribe Apameini are described from the Primorye territory, Russia. The species described as Xanthograpta basinigra Sugi, 1982 is transferred from Acontiinae (sensu auctorum) to the subfamily Xyleninae, tribe Apameini; the new combination Minigrapta basinigra Sugi, 1982 comb. n. is proposed. The adults and genitalia are illustrated for these and allied species.

A new Trioxinae (Aphidiidae) genus Sergeyoxis gen. nov., with type species S. monoceratus sp. nov., is described and illustrated from the Russian Far East. This new genus is closely related to Parabioxys Shi et Chen, 2001, but differs from the latter by the development of a single long process (prong) which is not fused with the sixth sternite, fore wing darkened and narrow, and petiole short. Sergeyoxis gen. nov. differs from the all other trioxine taxa by the presence of mobile unpaired process between two last sternites of metasoma.

AbstractThe crustose lichen genus Mycoblastus in the Northern Hemisphere includes eight recognized species sharing large, simple ascospores produced 1–2 per ascus in strongly pigmented biatorine apothecia. The monophyly of Mycoblastus and the relationship of its various species to Tephromelataceae have never been studied in detail. Data from ITS rDNA and the genes coding for translation elongation factor 1-α and DNA replication licensing factor mini-chromosome maintenance complex 7 support the distinctness of Mycoblastus s. str. from the core of the Tephromelataceae, but recover M. fucatus and an undescribed Asian species as strongly supported within the latter group. We propose accommodating these two species in a new genus, Violella, which is characterized by its brownish inner ascospore walls, Fucatus-violet hymenial pigment granules and secondary chemistry, and discuss the position of Violella relative to Calvitimela and Tephromela. We describe the new species Violella wangii T. Sprib. & Goffinet to accommodate a new species with roccellic acid from Bhutan, China, India and the Russian Far East. We also exclude Mycoblastus indicus Awasthi & Agarwal from the genus Mycoblastus and propose for it the new combination Malmidea indica (Awasthi & Agarwal) Hafellner & T. Sprib.

The family Diplomaragnidae Attems, 1907 of the Asian part of Russia is reviewed and shown to comprise 11 genera and 60 species + 1 dubious species. Two genera and seven species are described here as new to science: Alineuma gen. nov., with type species A. rodionovi sp. nov. and Litovkia gen. nov., with the type species L. anisimovka sp. nov., Diplomaragna budilovi sp. nov., Diplomaragna dentifer sp. nov., Pacifiosoma shabalini sp. nov., Pacifiosoma acutum sp. nov., Pacifiosoma triangulatum sp. nov. Pacifiosoma asperum Mikhaljova, 2016 is recorded from the Primorsky Krai for the first time. Five genera are endemic to the Asian part of Russia. At the species level, the rate of endemism amounts to 91.7%. A key is given to all species of Diplomaragnidae presently known from Siberia and the Russian Far East. The distributions of the region’s diplomaragnids are discussed. Taxonomic remarks are provided for many species.

Two new genera and three species of the Pantheinae are described. The genus Flavala gen. n. (type-species Acronycta flavala Moore, 1867) is separated from Anacronicta Warren, 1909. The new combination Flavala flavala (Moore, 1867) comb. n. is introduced. Two new species, Flavala crypta sp. n. and F. secunda sp. n. are described based on the result of barcoding of mitochondrial DNA. The new genus Xizanga gen. n. (type-species Xizanga mysterica sp.n.) is tentatively placed in Pantheinae.

The Palaearctic xiphydriid genus Konowia Brauns, 1884, is redefined and the component species are revised on the basis of a close examination of stability and taxonomic use of previously used and newly introduced characters. A new genus, Monoxiphia, is proposed for Konowia harai Shinohara, 2019, from Japan (Monoxiphia harai (Shinohara, 2019), n. comb.) and Xiphydriola Semenov-Tian-Shanskij, 1921, is synonymized with Konowia. Konowia is represented by the following four species: K. betulae (Enslin, 1911) from Europe, through Siberia, Korea to Japan (Hokkaido, Kunashiri Is.), K. kojimai, n. sp., from Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu), K. megapolitana Brauns, 1884 from Europe to the Russian Far East, and K. yasumatsui (Togashi, 1972) from Japan (Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu). Xiphydriola amurensis Semenov-Tian-Shanskij, 1921, and Platyxiphydria nishijimai Togashi, 1998, are synonymized with K. betulae and a new species, K. kojimai, is described from Japan. Konowia yasumatsui is newly recorded from Honshu and Shikoku and the male of this species is described for the first time. A key to separate Monoxiphia, Konowia and four Konowia species is provided.

The systematics of the subgenus Stigmatodipogon Ishikawa of the genus Dipogon Fox is revised. Six species are listed. Two new species, Dipogon (Stigmatodipogon) kurokawai Shimizu, sp. nov. (Honshu, Japan) and D. (S.) lao Loktionov & Lelej, sp. nov. (Laos) are described and illustrated and other four species from Japan, the Russian Far East and Eastern Siberia are redescribed. A new combination is proposed for D. (S.) budrisi (Loktionov & Lelej, 2014), comb. nov. Nesting records of D. (S.) kurokawai and prey records of D. (S.) macrostigmatus Ishikawa, 1959 and D. (S.) petiolatus Lelej, 1986 are presented. These are the first records of biology for this subgenus. A key to species is provided.

AbstractThe genus Pelidnoptera Rondani is taxonomically reviewed based on examination of the type series. Pelidnoptera triangularis, sp.n. from Japan, the Russian Far East and Nepal, and Akebono vernalis, gen. & sp.n. from Japan are described and illustrated. The lectotype of P. leptiformis (Schiner) is designated here based on the examination of syntypes in the Naturhistorisches Museum, Wien.

The new subgenus Monilistylus subgen. n. is described based on imaginal and larval characters. Its type species is Procloeon (Monilistylus) monilistylus Kluge, Tiunova & Novikova 2014 from the Russian Far East, known as larvae, subimagines, imagines of both sexes and eggs associated by rearing. Male larva, subimago and imago of Procloeon (Monilistylus) ornatipennis sp. n. are described based on reared specimens from Lombok (Indonesia).

Two new noctuids in the subfamily Xyleninae, Chasminodes behouneki sp. n. and Lithophane gansuana sp. n., belonging to the tribes Cosmiini and Xylenini respectively, are described from central China. The new species C. behouneki and L. gansuana represent allopatric sister species of C. ussurica Kononenko, 1982 and L. pacifica Kononenko, 1978, both described from the Russian Far East. Adults and the genitalia of the species are illustrated, and new distributional data and maps for C. ussurica and L. pacifica are presented. A checklist of the genus Chasminodes is provided.

A new eastern-palaearctic monotypic genus of the broad-winged moths, Paradasycera gen. nov., is described. It is related to the European genus Dasycera Stephens, 1829, from which differs by the very short ovipositor in female and slightly pointed apex of the fore wing. The type species of the genus, Paradasycera insignis (Christoph, 1882), comb. nov., is redescribed.
