Notomicrus petrareptans sp. n. is described from an inselberg seepage in southwestern Suriname. This species is diagnosable by a combination of its weakly punctate elytra, respective shapes of the pro- and mesotarsal claws (males), and long and slender median lobe of the aedeagus. This is the first member of the subfamily Notomicrinae to be described from hygropetric seep habitats and only the second known seep-dwelling species of the family Noteridae. Diagnostic characters are illustrated and habitat images are provided.

Pseudothilmanus Pic, 1918 is redescribed and two species, P. alatus Pic, 1918 and P. marginatus Pic, 1918, are placed in the genus. The subgenus Drilothilmanus Pic, 1918 is synonymized with the nominotypical genus on the basis of low morphological divergence and redundancy in classification. Pseudothilmanus is newly classified in the family Rhagophthalmidae, in contrast to the original placement in Drilidae. Diagnostic characters for Pseudothilmanus and both species placed within the genus are illustrated.

The final stadium larva of Megalestes heros Needham, 1930 is redescribed and illustrated in detail. It is characterized by having a long and cylindrical body, a very long prementum with two end hooks of unequal size on lateral lobe, parallel wing sheaths, long and slender legs, female ovipositor short reaching the basal third of S10, and based on a distinct abdominal color pattern. The major diagnostic characters of the larvae of the genus Megalestes are as follows: (1) body smooth and slender, with long abdomen and leaf-shaped caudal gills; (2) antenna filiform, seven-segmented,third segment longest; (3) median cleft present in median lobe of prementum; lateral lobe with two end hooks of unequal size, the inner one being longer and larger than the outer, movable hook without setae; (4) wing sheaths parallel to each other.

The family Bothidae in Taiwan is reviewed. A total of 15 genera and 42 species are recognized. Historical records are re-evaluated and five species are recorded in Taiwan for the first time: Arnoglossus yamanakai Fukui & Ozawa, 1988, Crossorhombus valderostratus (Alcock, 1890), Parabothus polylepis (Alcock, 1889), Parabothus coarctatus (Gilbert, 1905), and Psettina variegata (Fowler, 1933). Laeops tongkongensis Chen & Weng, 1965 is recognized as a junior synonym of Laeops kitaharae Smith & Pope, 1906. Keys to genera and species, diagnostic characters, distribution and photographs are provided.

The genus Wulfila O. Pickard-Cambridge 1895 belongs to the family Anyphaenidae Bertkau, 1878, commonly called ghost spiders. Wulfila is endemic to the Americas and currently has 43 valid species; here we describe five new: Wulfila conchamonile spec. nov., W. xilitlensis spec. nov., W. luisi spec. nov., W. unguis spec. nov. and W. phantasma spec. nov. Specimens were collected in Mexico as part of three biological inventories developed in Xilitla, San Luis Potosí, and Atotonilco and Xamaticpac, Veracruz, between 2011 and 2014. In addition, we provide an overview of Wulfila taxonomic literature with a discussion on the genus taxonomy, diagnostic characters, species placement, and novel genital characters.

Meleonoma Meyrick, 1914 is treated as a genus of the family Autostichidae based on the recent study. Fifty species are transferred from the genus Cryptolechia to Meleonoma, and eight Meleonoma species groups are proposed for the taxonomic convenience based on both molecular data and morphological study. Eight species groups include: the malacobyrsa group, the segregnatha group, the annulignatha group, the fasciptera group, the jigongshanica group, the dentivalvata group, the facialis group, and the acutiuscula group. Diagnostic characters and representative illustrations of each species group are provided. A discussion on the proposed species groups is given, and a checklist of all the 88 described Meleonoma species is provided.

A new species of the genus Hydaticus Leach, 1817, subgenus Prodaticus Sharp, 1882 (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae) has been discovered in the mountains of Cerros del Sira, Peru. It is here described as Hydaticus (Prodaticus) hauthi sp. nov.. It is morphologically similar to the Peruvian H. panguana Megna, Balke, Apenborn & Hendrich, 2019. The new species differs from H. panguana by its almost complete black dorsal surface and the shape of the median lobe. Diagnostic characters of both species, including illustrations of male genitalia and habitus, are presented, and a modified key for the 12 Neotropical species is provided.

The relationships of Scytodoidea, including the families Drymusidae, Periegopidae, Scytodidae and Sicariidae, have been con-tentious for a long time. Here we present a reviewed phylogenetic analysis of scytodoid spiders, emphasizing Periegops, theonly genus in the family Periegopidae. In our analysis the Scytodoidea are united by the fusion of the third abdominal entapo-physes into a median lobe, the presence of female palpal femoral thorns and associated cheliceral stridulatory ridges, a mem-branous lobe on the cheliceral promargin, and the loss of minor ampullate gland spigots. A basal split within Scytodoideadefines two monophyletic groups: Sicariidae and a group formed by Scytodidae as the sister group of Periegopidae plus Dry-musidae, all united by having bipectinate prolateral claws on tarsi I–II, one major ampullate spigot accompanied by a nubbin,and the posterior median spinnerets with a mesal field of spicules. Periegops is the sister group of Drymusidae, united by the regain of promarginal cheliceral teeth and a triangular cheliceral lamina, which is continuous with the paturon margin.

Nomenclatural notes on the names of several species in the family Gyrinidae are provided. Six specific names are found to be junior homonyms. Three of them are replaced by nomina nova: Aulonogyrus marginatus (Aubé, 1838) by Aulonogyrus charlesaubei nom. nov., Gyrinus dubius Wallis, 1926 by Gyrinus suspectus nom. nov., and Macrogyrus (Andogyrus) colombicus australis (Brinck, 1977) by Macrogyrus (Andogyrus) colombicus brincki nom. nov. The other three junior homonyms were never considered congeneric with senior homonyms after the year 1899, and thus cannot not be replaced by new names: Gyretes dorsalis (Brullé, 1837), Macrogyrus australis (Brullé, 1835), and Andogyrus glaucus (Aubé, 1838); it is proposed that these names will be conserved by a ruling of the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature. It is found that Enhydrus sulcatus (Forsberg, 1821) is a primary homonym and a junior subjective synonym of Enhydrus sulcatus (Wiedemann, 1821) in Wiedemann & Germar (1821). The neotype is designated for Gyrinus striatus Fabricius, 1792, which is a senior primary homonym and a senior subjective synonym of G. striatus Olivier, 1792 (both currently in Aulonogyrus Motschulsky, 1853). Gyrinus striatus was published by Olivier not only in 1792, but again in the year 1795 (so far treated as the correct publishing year). To stabilise the nomenclature, one and the same specimen is designated simultaneously as the neotype for Gyrinus striatus Olivier, 1792, and G. striatus Olivier, 1795, and thus both names become objective synonyms. Gyrinus ovatus Klug, 1829 is a senior subjective synonym of Gyrinus gibbus Aubé, 1838 syn. nov. and of Gyrinus apicalis Sharp, 1878 syn. nov. Gyrinus racenisi Ochs, 1953 must be used as the valid name for Gyrinus ovatus sensu Aubé (1838b) (nec Klug 1829). Lectotypes are designated for Gyrinus apicalis Sharp, 1878, Gyrinus gibbus Aubé, 1838, Gyrinus ovatus Klug, 1829, and Gyrinus paykulli Ochs, 1927b. Type specimens and diagnostic characters are illustrated for G. striatus Fabricius, G. striatus Olivier, G. ovatus Klug, G. racenisi and G. paykulli.

The present study deals with diagnostic characters, diversity, distribution and status of seven species belonging to four genera of Teloganodidae from southern India.  Six of them are endemic to the Western Ghats as is the genus Indoganodes Selvakumar, Sivaramakrishnan & Jacobus, 2014 and one is endemic to the Eastern Ghats.  Due to this high percentage of endemism, conservation of habitats and microhabitats harbouring this ancient gondwanan lineage gains priority.  A larval key to the known genera and species of Teloganodidae of southern India is also provided.  The present pattern of distribution of the family Teloganodidae is confined to southern Africa, Madagascar, southern India and Southeast Asia.
