A new species, Loxoblemmus rectilineus sp. n., collected from Yunnan, China was described and illustrated. Stephoblemmus with a species Stephoblemmus humbertiellus Saussure, 1877 was first reported from China (Yunnan and Xizang Prov.). Loxoblemmus nigriceps Chopard, 1933 is junior synonym of Stephoblemmus humbertiellus Saussure, 1877. All specimens are housed in Museum of Flora and Fauna, Shaanxi Normal University, Xi’an, China.

A new species of parasitic mite, Cydnipolipus patpsalmondsae sp. nov. (Podapolipidae), is described from Lobostoma giganteum from Honduras and Onalips bisinuatus (Hemiptera: Cydnidae) from Brazil. The new species is compared with the single other species of the genus Cydnipolipus, Cydnipolipus miyamotoi Kurosa and Husband 1994, from Japan. A new distribution record of C. miyamotoi from Aethus indicus from Okinawa, Japan is reported.

Recently, we reviewed the specimens of the genus Rhopalopsole Klapálek, 1912 we have collected and checked the holotype and paratypes of Rhopalopsole duyuzhoui Sivec & Harper, 2008. We present morphological evidence that R. duyuzhoui is a junior synonym of Rhopalopsole basinigra Yang & Yang, 1995, and that R. basiningra is a new distribution record to Guizhou Province, southwestern China. Additionally, a new species of this genus from Guizhou Province, Rhopalopsole dicondylica Yang & Du, sp. nov. is described and illustrated. The new species is compared to the similar species of this genus.

A new species, Mesenopsis jordana sp. nov., from southeastern Brazilian states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo is described and a taxonomic dichotomous key for species of the genus Mesenopsis is provided. Additionally, mimetic models for species of Mesenopsis are suggested and a new distribution record for M. albivitta is provided.

The orchid flora of Myanmar is highly diverse but as yet poorly known in the continental Asia, which is largely a result of periods of past instability and political isolation of the country. Also the remoteness of many orchid-rich areas and the difficulties of investigation in rugged terrain have also played a role (Ormerod & Kumar, 2003; Kurzweil & Lwin, 2014). According to recent estimates about 800 orchid species are distributed in Myanmar (Kurzweil & Lwin, 2014), which were probably underestimated. Many new distribution records and new species have been published in the last few years (Ormerod, 2002, 2006, 2012; Ormerod & Kumar, 2003, 2008; Ormerod & Wood, 2010; Nyunt, 2006; Kurzweil et al., 2010; Kurzweil & Lwin, 2012a,b; Tanaka et al. 2011).

One new species and three new distribution records for the family Crangonidae (Crustacea: Decapoda) are reported from Western Australia. A new species, Philocheras gardenensis sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on specimens collected from the Western Australia. The new species closely resembles Philocheras fasciatus (Risso, 1816), but can be distinguished easily by the absence of lobe-like folds on either side of the middle line of the carapace, the presence of a lateral carina extending from the branchiostegal spine, the longer middorsal carina and distolateral tooth of the antennal scale. A key for the genus Philocheras is provided, including currently, a total of 58 species and subspecies reported worldwide. Range extensions of three Crangonid shrimps are reported within Australia, and they are Philocheras obliquus (Fulton & Grant, 1902), Pontocaris arafurae (Bruce, 1988) and Vercoia gibbosa Baker, 1904.

Themus (Telephorops) davidis species-group is redefined and we present a catalogue, identification key and distribution map for this group. Some previously known species are redescribed and we provide new illustrations of female internal genitalia, abdominal sternite VIII and/or aedeagus. Further, we report new distribution data. A new species, Themus (Telephorops) hainanus sp. nov. from China (Hainan) is described, and Themus (Telephorops) birmanicus Wittmer, 1983 is recorded from China for the first time.
