The genus is represented in Korea by seven species including a new species, Acrotona (Acrotona) koreana Lee & Ahn, sp. nov. Two new synonyms are proposed: A. (A.) lutulenta (Sharp) = A. (A.) suyangsani Paśnik syn. nov., A. (A.) pseudotenera (Cameron) = A. (A.) paeksongricus Paśnik syn. nov. Three species [A. (A.) lutulenta (Sharp), A. (A.) pseudotenera (Cameron) and A. (A.) vicaria (Kraatz)] are reported for the first time in South Korea. A key, descriptions, habitus photographs and illustrations of the diagnostic characters are provided.

A taxonomic review of the subgenus Datomicra Mulsant & Rey of the genus Atheta Thomson in Korea is presented. A new synonym is proposed: Datomicra Mulsant & Rey, 1874 = Datostiba Sawada, 1976, syn. nov. The subgenus is represented in Korea by eight species including a new species, Atheta (Datomicra) semidentiventris Lee & Ahn, sp. nov. Two species [A. (D.) dadopora Thomson and A. (D.) dentiventris Bernhauer] are new to the Korean Peninsula and one [A. (D.) celata (Erichson)] to South Korea. A key, descriptions, habitus photographs and illustrations of the diagnostic characters of the new species and two newly recorded species are provided.

A total of seven species of the genus Dryophilocoris Reuter are reviewed from Fareast Asia with a new species, Dryophilocoris kerzhneri Jung et Yasunaga sp. nov. Three known species, D. lucidus Yasunaga, D. miyamotoi Yasunaga, and D. saigusai Miyamoto, are newly recognized from the Korean Peninsula. The female genitalia are illustrated and described as taxonomic characters for the first time in the genus, and a key to the species in Fareast Asia is also provided.

A taxonomic study of two Korean pseudoliodine genera, Dermatohomoeus Hlisnikovský and Pseudcolenis Reitter, is presented. Two genera and three species are recognized. One new species (Pseudcolenis hoshinai Park & Ahn) is described. Dermatohomoeus terrenus (Hisamatsu) is reported for the first time in the Korean peninsula. Pseudcolenis hilleri Reitter is new to South Korea. A key for the genera and species, description of the new species, and illustrations of diagnostic characters are presented.

Preliminary surveys of brackish and freshwater habitats in the southeast and east of South Korea produced a total of fifteenspecies. Ten of these species are new records for Korea, and one additional species, belonging to the genus Tanycypris, isnewly described herein. Twenty-seven species of nonmarine ostracods are now reported from Korea, but this is probablyonly a small proportion of the actual number of species inhabiting the peninsula. The presence of Dolerocypris ikeyaiSmith & Kamiya, 2006, Cryptocandona brehmi (Klie, 1934), Cryptocandona tsukagoshii Smith, 2011, Physocypria nip-ponica Okubo, 1990 and Vestalenula cylindrica (Straub, 1952) on the Korean Peninsula demonstrates that these species are also distributed on the continent, and are not endemic to Japan.

The genus Ludioctenus Fairmaire, 1893 hitherto included only L. cyprius (Baudi di Selve, 1871) from the eastern Mediterranean and L. pakistanicus Schimmel & Tarnawski, 2012 from Pakistan. Here, we describe L. afghanicus sp. nov. from the Nuristan Province in eastern Afghanistan. The distribution and morphological diversity of Ludioctenus is discussed, main diagnostic characters for all species are figured, and an identification key to the species of this genus is provided. Female pregenital segments and genitalia are figured for the first time for Ludioctenus, and the systematic position of this genus and its relatives is discussed.

We review and summarize the present knowledge of the Neotropical genus Euthycerina Malloch, 1933. Habitus and male terminalia are described and figured in detail for the first time. Euthycerina uachi sp. nov. is described, based on two males and four females from two locations in the province of Valdivia, Chile. An illustrated key is given for the three described species of Euthycerina, together with maps, phenology plots, and a summary of diagnostic characters that will enable researchers to confidently identify all species of Euthycerina.
