In the modern world, human recognition systems play an important role to   improve security by reducing chances of evasion. Human ear is used for person identification .In the Empirical study on research on human ear, 10000 images are taken to find the uniqueness of the ear. Ear based system is one of the few biometric systems which can provides stable characteristics over the age. In this paper, ear images are taken from mathematical analysis of images (AMI) ear data base and the analysis is done on ear pattern recognition based on the Expectation maximization algorithm and k means algorithm.  Pattern of ears affected with different types of noises are recognized based on Principle component analysis (PCA) algorithm.

AbstractObjective:To search the English language literature for original research addressing the effect of cryotherapy on motor performance and recovery.Data Sources:We searched MEDLINE, the Physiotherapy Evidence Database, SPORT Discus, Pubmed, and the Cochrane Reviews database, from 1976 to 2009 to identify randomized clinical trials of cryotherapy, systematic reviews, original articles and methods of cryotherapy. Key words used were cryotherapy, return to participation, cold treatment, ice, injury.Data Synthesis:Brief review including assessment of cryotherapy as a tool of performance and a recovery method.Conclusions:Most studies suggest that a short rewarming time would be beneficial (a couple minutes), which is very reasonable in sports. Also, cooling techniques differ in its result accordingly to the procedures and objectives used. Finally, the type of tissue cooled plays a large role (ie. Joint vs. Muscle).

Abstract Introduction Gender discrimination remains pervasive in surgery, significantly impacting current and future surgeons and population health. This study analyses the gender barriers and critical retention factors for female surgeons and trainees in surgery. Method Five electronic databases were searched till May 2020. Titles and abstracts were sieved, followed by a full text review. Data synthesis and inductive thematic analysis were conducted using the Thomas and Harden methodology. Result 14 articles were included, involving 528 participants. Four themes were generated–unfavourable working environment, male-dominated culture, societal pressures and progress towards gender equality. Females in surgery often faced harassment, disrespect and perceptions of incompetence, resulting in hostile work conditions, which were aggravated by the inadequate support and mentorship. The persistence of male-dominated cultures was observed, with females facing prejudice and exclusion from professional and social circles. Differential treatment and higher expectations of female surgeons also arose from entrenched societal pressures. Despite these, increased acceptance of motherhood and greater recognition of contributions by female surgeons were reported, indicating some progress in gendered culture. Conclusions There is a need to increase female surgical leadership and allocate resources to address the deep-rooted causes of biased surgical culture and ingrained perceptions, to achieve greater gender equality in surgery.
