The article discusses the recovery process of fracture system formation after hydraulic fracturing in a coal seam, based on the conducted seismic studies using modern mathematical software packages. Model concepts of the fractures system development under hydrodynamic impact on a rock mass are considered, which make it possible to assess the nature of fractures propagation.

The results of experimental studies of hydrodynamic effects (HDI) in industrial conditions are given. The HDI is designed to reduce the gas-dynamic activity of the coal seam and the rocks surrounding it. HDI was applied to the coal seam before it crossed the mine workings. The conditions for the implementation of HDI in industrial conditions Separate Enterprise “Mine “Tsentralna” State Enterprise “Toretskvuhillia” are described. The results of HDI on coal seams m2 -“Tonkyi” and m3 -“Tovstyi” are given. The parameters of the HDI method for outburst-prone coal seam before its crossing by mine workings are corrected.

In this article the possibility of methane gas extraction in coal deposits exploitation is considered. Experimental data on the application of hydrodynamic impact on a gas-saturated outburst coal seam prior to its baring in order to reduce gasdynamic activity due to an intensification of methane emission are presented. Also a structural and technological scheme of degassing pipelines that includes emergency protection and monitoring of coal mine methane parameters in real-time mode to ensure a safe, trouble-free process of its transportation to the cogeneration plant for further utilization is proposed.

The physics of hydrodynamic impact (HDI) is in the softening of the coal seam due to the generation of alternation stress in it. Stress is carried out due to injection and discharge of fluid into the coal seam in the filtration mode. The mathematical model of the processes occurring in the coal massif under HDI was developed. The model allows to determine the nature of the coal destruction in forward and inverse filtering of fluid in the massif. Cracking in the process of fluid filtration is achieved while simultaneously fulfilling two criteria: power and energy.

Abstract Kokowska-Pawłowska, M. and Nowak, J. 2013. Phosphorus minerals in tonstein; coal seam 405 at Sośnica- Makoszowy coal mine, Upper Silesia, southern Poland. Acta Geologica Polonica, 63 (2), 271-281. Warszawa. The paper presents results of research on tonstein, which constitutes an interburden in coal seam 405 at the Sośnica- Makoszowy coal mine, Makoszowy field (mining level 600 m), Upper Silesia, southern Poland. The mineral and chemical compositions of the tonstein differ from the typical compositions described earlier for tonsteins from Upper Silesia Coal Basin area. Additionally, minerals present in the tonsteins include kaolinite, quartz, kaolinitised biotite and feldspars. The presence of the phosphatic minerals apatite and goyazite has been recognized. The presence of gorceixite and crandallite is also possible. The contents of CaO (5.66 wt%) and P2O5 (6.2 wt%) are remarkably high. Analysis of selected trace elements demonstrated high contents of Sr (4937 ppm) and Ba (4300 ppm), related to the phosphatic minerals. On the basis of mineral composition the tonstein has been identified as a crystalline tonstein, transitional to a multiplied one.
