Based on the actual production data, this paper selected some evaluation parameters and established reasonable evaluation criterion for the horizontal well development effect in the ultra low-abundance and thin zone reservoir by using statistical analysis method, reservoir engineering analysis process and reservoir numerical simulation technology .In addition, a development effect evaluation system specially for the horizontal well development effect in the ultra low-abundance and thin layer reservoir was build up with the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation approach. Finally, the evaluation system were applied in several low-abundance and thin reservoir blocks. It was shown that the evaluation system can scientifically estimate the development effect of this kind of reservoir and has a practical application value.

Groundwater contamination is a serious threat to water supply. Risk assessment of groundwater contamination is an effective way to protect the safety of groundwater resource. Groundwater is a complex and fuzzy system with many uncertainties, which is impacted by different geological and hydrological factors. In order to deal with the uncertainty in the risk assessment of groundwater contamination, we propose an approach with analysis hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation integrated together. Firstly, the risk factors of groundwater contamination are identified by the sources-pathway-receptor-consequence method, and a corresponding index system of risk assessment based on DRASTIC model is established. Due to the complexity in the process of transitions between the possible pollution risks and the uncertainties of factors, the method of analysis hierarchy process is applied to determine the weights of each factor, and the fuzzy sets theory is adopted to calculate the membership degrees of each factor. Finally, a case study is presented to illustrate and test this methodology. It is concluded that the proposed approach integrates the advantages of both analysis hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, which provides a more flexible and reliable way to deal with the linguistic uncertainty and mechanism uncertainty in groundwater contamination without losing important information.

Recent frequent “thunderstorm incidents” of the internet financial platforms (IFPs) have caused the panic of investors. In order to measure and reduce the investment risk of IFPs, the focus of this study is to evaluate the reputation of IFPs regarding investment risk. First, the reputation evaluation indicator system of IFPs is constructed from two dimensions of direct and indirect reputations. Then, based on this system, an improved fuzzy evaluation approach (IFEA) integrating the method of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE), the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), and the factor analysis (FA) are proposed for evaluating the reputation of IFPs. Finally, a case study based on the data of 20 peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platforms from “Home of Online Loans” (HOL) in China is used to illustrate the IFEA. Results show that the IFEA can reduce uncertainty and randomness in the determination process of indicator weight and membership degree and therefore accurately obtain the reputation level of IFPs and help investors make better decisions. Meanwhile, the key factors in determining the reputation of IFPs are identified, thereby improving the reputation level of the IFPs.
